David Seaman
best keeper of the past 20 years
Ermmm, not. Think you're forgetting a big Dane with a red nose. Pains me to say it, but he's easily been the best keeper in the last 20 years.
but Hans Van Breukelen was Dutch..as was Piet Schrijvers..what the hell are you talking about?

Is this a sport thread........but without doubt the best keeper I ever saw was Alan McKnight.........top quality entertainment from a keeper who couldn't save, kick or catch a football

Who is your team Tikay?
Maybe you should try taking a Saturday afternoon off for old times sake and making it to a game.
I know Tightend goes to Leicester games as much as he can
Halftime pie and bovril?
Brentford, naturally.
My "other" teams is Arsenal, but I'm not a real Gooner.
My "most-loathed" Teams are Man Utd, Liverpool, QPR, & for Most Pathetic Team of the Century, Leeds United, though in the case of the latter, mainly for their Boardroom stupidity in truth.
Oi - as everyone knows my football knowledge is legendary and Liverpool are my team - I was there for the last game before they pulled down the Kop - one of the most emotional days of my life, and when the crowd greeted the late Bill Shankleys wife with the song there's only one Mrs Shankley we were all in tears. Game started late and we left hours after it finished.
Banners everywhere, grown men crying, singing all the way - a real 'moment'.
A rare and great day out with my Dad, made even better by the fact it was Eurovision night and by leaving Liverpool late we missed it!

Didn't want to inflict that game on her - it's not like she's done anything to deserve that.

Yeah great day Norwich won 1-0 in the last ever league game in front of a terraced kop, Jeremy Goss from 25 yards i believe. Aaaaaaaah those were the days.

It was fantastic - I was hoarse from shouting, crying, singing - and that goal was all wrong. It would have been a perfect fairytale had we won that game, a fitting end to an era. I got tickets for my Dad as a surprise - he never travels to games - and we had one of the best days out together. We rarely get together and that has to go down in history as one of the best. Saw the LiverBirds, popped over to Wales for lunch with time for a pint before the game.
Before the game absolutely everyone associated with the club was on the pitch, we sang every song that could possibly be remotely linked to that person. It was like no one wanted the game to start because it meant that it was all coming to an end. The opposition just stood and watched and when the hundreds of red flares went off at the start of the game we were unstoppable. (until that goal obviously!)
I think we proved that day that Uri Gellar is a fake because there were thousands of people willing that ball to miss the goal and it still went in. All that positive energy achieved nothing!
I wish we could revisit days like those.
