Heard at the Table.
We were discussing the cloning of human embryos. Someone said "the thing is, it produces a pefectly exact replica, physically & mentally".
To which Billy Big Brain retorted - "yes, but are they the same?".

Oh yes, of course.
More
identical being key, as if there were degrees of identical-ness. A bit like extremely perfect.

Feltham, Saturday.
Humour takes so many forms, & so much of what amuses some, offends others.
Heard yesterday, (Good Friday) two chaps discussing this & that.
"How are you fella?"
"Oh, you know, a bit down, what with Jesus dying & everything".
The Author neither agrees nor disagrees with this statement, & in the event that offence is taken, please blame Tighty. It's what he's here for.

I had the great plesure of being at the derby in 1972 to see the Roberto-rhinegold battle, and i think only L Piggott could have got Roberto home against the so unlucky `Shoe`mount.
By the way Relph,I also spent an extremely drink filled night,at the rhinegold club, off oxford st meny years ago.
Also like lots of us i was a hardened gambler, who since discovered poker has hardly placed a bet.
The bsst race i've seen ,was Dancing Brave, winning the Arc.
Hi Brendan,
Yes - that was a remarkable ride by the God that was Piggott. I'm sure no other jockey could have got Roberto across the line in front.
Hope your chest/pneumonia is on the mend. Like you, I've had to miss APAT Austria, dammit.

This still going...cool.
(and about to take the top spot in all-time views, unless Rob Young decides to build an annex or something)
Lots to catch up on. Is there any way to delete all boldie's comments from the thread so it doesn't take me as long?

I'm surprised you haven't been crucified for that.
