Why are the horses sitting down ? I thought horses did everything (including sleep), standing up.

Horses do not need to lie down Ralph. Even when they sleep. The can lust lock their legs and remain in the same position for hours, or days.
Occasionally though, they do seem to enjoy lying down, especially in the sunshine.
Note how horses, (prey animals) instinctively face different directions so as to be able to watch out for each another while in this vulnerable position.

18 hours later and I'm still laughing. (I think it was the "Fur" bit that did it).

Jurys Inn, Heathrow
I've been offline since about Friday afternoon. My home PC imploded, there was hoohah everywhere on blonde, stuff you know about, stuff you don't, & poor Rich, Kev, & The Mods Team had to cover for me all weekend while I was swanning around in Newcastle, & working all day in Feltham today. I run so good.
I think last week was the worst week ever on blonde, & I cannot express my feelings about this lovely place being torn apart so un-necessarily. Well, I can, but it'd serve no purpose, so I'll stay schtum. Some things are just best left unsaid.
The whole thing is this. Poker is, for pretty much all of us here, a hobby, a recreation - something we do for enjoyment, for fun, for pleasure. And blonde has always had a policy of "Poker with a Smile". I can see serious poker anywhere, but I need it to be fun as well. So I'll keep smiling, & I hope you do.
My Diary is intended to reflect my feelings & views & thoughts, & because my glass is not just half-full, it's overflowing, I try to make it what I feel - happy. No alcohol needed, no drugs, smiley-wiley is the only way.
I drove up to Newcastle on Saturday, and stopped on the way up to look at some spring lambs in the fields, & it blew away all my cares & woes in a few minutes. - is there a lovelier sight? So sod last week, here are some lambs, because they make me grateful for the wonderful world we live in. In the grand scheme of things, poker, something which I enjoy immensely, is nothing really. OK, I know you may think I've lost it. So be it. Enjoy these lovely lambs. Tomorrow the sun will shine.
