when explaining the very first hand ( think it was a demo one).. it was a split pot but both of them missed it and awarded it to one player :p
something to do with LAG imo.

Agreed.. apart from one tiny tiny thing..

Very minor.. rest of the show was fantastic and much more of the same please
Yup - so busy trying to do what was called "the explainer" I missed the choppity chop. It was not a "real" hand, it was a pre-tourney example from yersterday, but I was pretty mad about it.

I read somewhere else that the Moscow system handled as many passengers per day as London and New York combined - well, not far off according to these stats. It's a pretty remarkable fact. And it fails to work, even in a small way, pretty much never. I think in two years I once saw part of a station closed because of flooding, and that was it. Dictatorships and a total disregard for health and safety do have some benefits.
And it's about 15p for any journey. I still can't get used to the prices on the tube.
Oh yeah, and some of it looks like this...

That worked a treat! We were being urged to up the tempo & excitement levels, & it ain't easy (for me), so I spotted an opportunity to "dare" the K to fall, & I got lucky. Worked out perfectly, as it happened. We don't know what's coming, by the way, we see it exactly as you do.
Richard is a Legend, & 'Ling was teriffic, too.
That football bloke - Clayton Blackmore? - did remind me of Gazza a bit.
The long-jump chappie is a lovely lad, hope he medals in China. See, "Medals" is now a verb. Kinboshi will not like that.

Only caught a bit of the show but it looked pretty good to me. Maybe this should be renamed Tikay's false modesty thread... Not really much good at Omaha but keeps winning loads of money, not much good at TV presenting but Sky Poker want him to do their important first show on Sky Sports...

yes I agree, great show. you really got across your knowledge and huge enthusiasm for the game.Well done mate, you can be proud !
Mrs slowmo says pink is very trendy so despite my own reservations, i will have to bow to your collective fashion sense . being in touch with your feminine side is a good thing. maybe u need to shop for matching accessories.
i even ensured i was eliminated from the tourney at
DT
D
so I was home to watch. Hope the big suits were pleased.
Thanks Simon.
I have not forgotten your very kind 'phone message of yesterday, & I will reply. You are right - it was just horrible. (Last week). On the up now though.
Big suits pleased? Strangely, & so far, yes. I've had a text from one, & an e-Mail from another, both very pleased. (Both SkyBet/SkyPoker). One added "and it will get better". Oops, I am not sure how to take that!
Now we have to wait & see what the Sky Sports Suits thought of it. I don't really feel comfy with revving up the excitement, I prefer the more intimate chatty style, but we'll see.
The Team did the best they could, so it is what it is. They are mostly youngsters, & I'm immensely proud to work for them, they have a massive sense of responsibility. It's weird, I've been MD for best part of 30 years, & I was always The Big Dick, now I work under kids, & I love it!
The pink shirt - hmm, yes, a bit iffy. Blame Wardrobe, they dress me from head to toe. Who'd have thought.
As you can see, I'm a bit hyper, a bit revved up & buzzy, but the M25/M40/M1 will take me off the boil, & tomorrow I'll be as flat as a flat thing.
Hope to see you at DTD Friday night, though I'm possibly doing Luton, undecided.
Take care buddy.

Amazed & very touched by all these nice comments, especially after such a shite week, thank you. And it's not "false modesty", trust me. I have much to be modest about. Flushy told me that.
I've just had a call from Mother Hen, & I've been working with him the last few days to help bring a big weekend at DTD for somebody.com, & it looks like it's come together - I'm just thrilled. "Watch this space".

Thanks Phil, the show is weekly (if we got it through tonight) but my next one is not till somewhere near the end of May. We share the jobs round down here.
Meanwhile, I still have my regular Slots, so it keeps me involved, & I'm doing quite a bit BTS with Sky, too, right now. Happy days.

For the first time - ever - you may be right. 'Ling was just brilliant, & even she was pumped up at the end. She's a great kid.
