This is what was called a "Camping Coach", & posh folk would save up to on holiday & stay in one of these. I never forgave my Parents for not letting me stay in one.

Every Farmer had one of these, they are iconic & legndary, & were the first ever hydraulic backhoes I believe. An amazing tractor, the Massey-Freguson.

The wheel. So what? Have you ever thought what life would be like if we had not found/invented/realised how clever the wheel is? Wheels are what make the world go round.

I am already in Dublin for the APAT thingy watching the Italy v Romania game on RTE. I was surprised to see at half time that Tikay is already in Ireland, giving his views on the game under the assumed name of Eamonn Dunphy.

Pfft!
Do you remember Eamonn? Some player, some character.
See you tomorrow Andrew, we are staying at The Burlington Hotel, & arrive at (groan) 0730. Have you taken a look at "The Sporting Emporium" Cardroom in Dublin? Some place that.
Last time I was in Dublin, Compo & I played cash at the Fitz & both of us cleaned up. Dangerous game, but well fun.

This sign was spotted in Robin Hood Bay, just south of Whitby. I think it should be read with a pinch of salt, but it does evoke memories of how things were in the day. A shame that vandals have cut the right hand edge of the sign off.

this reminded me of this hotel I drive past on the way to my mum's - I always think it would be your kind of place for a dirty weekend. Have you ever stayed there?

No, I don't know it, but if it's Petworth in Sussex (as opposed to Petworth in Surrey) you really should go take a look at Petworth House, which is magnificent, & I've visited many times.
Dirty weekend? Wassat?

€25 membership fee to join that place - all for a €25 rebuy tonight.
I'm staying at a great place on Baggot street round the corner from the Fitz. Free internet, kitchenette (with fridge), microwave, toaster - all for €85 a night.

Some pictures from the Falconry at the magnificent Thorp Perrow Abroretum, near Bedale, in Yorkshire, more of which later.
First, a sign, the context of which will soon become obvious. I'm not 100% sure I buy it. Again, sorry the sign has been vandalized, losing it's right-hand edge.
