I think the car under the tree might be a Ford Corsair

Wrong tail lights imo. I'm sure it's a Cortina.

Here's the rear of a Corsair.

Yep. deffo a MK1 Cortina

I think the Mark 1 Cortina came quite a few years after the original common-or-garden Cortina.

My mum had an original Cortina which I was allowed to borrow quite often after passing my test in a Hillman Imp.

The one in the picture looks like my mum's. I still remember the registration 800 FLR.

Car key - sorted. (Regards).

House key - sorted. (Locksmith).

Just one more thing to sort, & it's job done.

A lesson learned the hard way.

It must be catching. Just got back from Greece minus house and work keys which have just been retrieved by my friend still in Greece from under the mattress in the hotel...don't ask!

Cost of holiday - £500
Cost of spending money - £400
Cost of lost earnings from week off work - a lot
Cost of locksmith - £180
Cost of seeing my friend smiling into her new husbands eyes, while me and my other three lifelong female friends cry before, during and after the ceremony - Priceless.

Nice to be back though - despite the rain....

We have a prodigy in our midst.

Today, at Donington Park, the 125cc race was won by a Brit.

The first GP victory by a Brit at Donington since the mid eighties.

The first 125cc GP win by a Brit world-wide since the legendary Tommy Robb, in the Isle of Man, back in the early seventies.

His name is Scott Redding, & he hails from Gloucester.

It gets better. This picture was, quite obviously, taken when he was a good bit younger - when he was 13, in fact. He's grown up since. He's now 15. Oddly, the third place finisher, a Spaniard I believe, was also 15. 15!

In his Post-Race interview, Scott seemed very well-adjusted, & who knows, we may have another Geoff Duke, or Mike Hailwood, on our hands. I hope so.

Motorbike GP Racing - Moto GP as it's now Marketed - is quietly creeping up in TV audience ratings to the overly-Corporate FI Racing. If you've not watched Moto GP, take a look at this afternoon's British Grand Prix from Tom Wheatcroft's beloved Donnington Park, it's as good as it gets. You may as well get used to Donington Park, too, because within 2 years I fancy the F1 Grand Prix will be held there, & we will at laast be rid of the oh-so-drab & boring Silverstone.

But sod all that for now - well done Scott Redding.

On my PC or Lappie Keyboard - on any PC or Lappie Kepboard - & even in the text function of my - & almost any other - mobile 'phone - we have a whole range of symbols. For instance.....

And a good few others.

And I'm sure if I pressed F43/Alt/Del/Ctrl/AltGr or some such, I could find the very obvious one that is so clearly & patently missing from every keyboard & Moby I've ever used - this one. Why so?

The Notts-Based raid on yesterday's Betfred Girlie Comp in Reading comprised Chili, Little Miss C, & the wife of Raj Dhiri, Raj being the guy who's almost a perma-fixture in the top three of the DTD Leaderboard.

Chili & Fran drew blanks, but I gather Mrs Raj - fresh from bearing Baby-Raj # 4 - Finalled, & eventually exited in 9th, for about £200. Very well done Mrs Raj.

I do not know if any blondes Cashed, but no doubt news will filter through quite soon.
