Well if my keyboard had a proper one......

I don't have one of them, either. If I had a tick, I'd need one of those little boxes to put it in I suppose.

So, why don't keyboards or Moby's have "ticks"?

I'm afraid someone is going to have to explain to me the relevance of these little squares.

I want a tick, not a box to put it in.

Well I'm grateful for the box to put the tick in, I just need to know why the tick is not on our keyboards now, & how I can find one, a question I note everyone is swerving.....

A degree symbol would also come in handy.

Correct.

Why no "tick" key though?

If I had to guess I would say typewriters didn't have a tick key and the others were all added as they were used by the people developing the early computers for maths/programming.

You may as well get used to Donington Park, too, because within 2 years I fancy the F1 Grand Prix will be held there, & we will at laast be rid of the oh-so-drab & boring Silverstone.

Remember the awesome Grand Prix they had there in the 90s?

Good track to drive round too.

Although I was under the impression that they were very unlikely to have a GP in the foreseeable future as the facilities just aren't good enough!

It's a great track, very undulating & with some gorgeous, adverse camber, sweeping, high-speed corners, very like Brands Hatch actually.

Mr Ecclestone has become impatient waiting for Silverstone to Upgrade, (they can't afford it) Donington have said "we will", (they have the money) & I think it will hapoen. It will deffo be at Silverstone in '08, for contractual reasons, but in '09, I reckon it will be at Donny. Quite right too.

Tom Wheatcroft no longer owns it, but it will always be "his" Circuit, & he's now President of the company that purchased it I believe.

I was at the Donington GP won by Senna. Changeable conditions I remember, and he blew them away

Taking the boys to Silverstone in a fortnight, which will be their first, but the facilities for spectators are still grim and the track itself soul-less apart from the sensational Stowe corner.
