Morning all.

This thread.......

http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=34958.0

This is a terrible thing. She's a dear friend of mine, of ours, & I want to try & help, & I'm sure many of you will, too.

I think PM's of support to her "the_nun" or donations via 'Stars would help, as would ITB's suggestion of a "Benefit Comp".

Please do whatever you think is right.

I'll even do a forfeit if you like, for the right price.

Just help, please.

I know may of us are wary, because of the P4C thing, but if you can manage a donation, make it direct to her, via Stars, so then we know it's reached her, "clean".

Thank you.

Yes!

I did it!

I set out to keep a Diary for a whole year, & today, I got there.

I'm delighted with myself.

More pleasing (to some, not all, as these things are subjective), we now have several Diaries on the go, & I'm well pleased with that.

I've neglected this Diary a bit the last week, due to time problems, but plan to get back on track very soon. I've also realised, having seen the "newer" Diaries, how bland my writing skills are, & I've become slightly embarrassed by my lack of writing "flair". But it is what it is, I wanted to tick that box, & I have.

To those I've offended - inadvertently, I promise - my apologies. But it's a Diary, & you gotta say what you think sometimes. And sometimes it just comes out wrong. I don't intentionally, ever, do "rude", but I do do "clumsy" from time to time.

I'm also grateful that you've respected my "ethos" on this Diary, kept it "light", fun, & no silly rudeness or bickering.

And I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but nobody has to read it. The"blend" between "interesting" stuff, & boring "went to Feltham today" stuff is awkward, but that's my life, & this is my Diary.

The nicest things are the sense of achievement - I did it! - & "feedback", both via Replies, which I love, & always try to answer, & meeting folks everywhere who are not blondes, but who evidently lurk, & read it. Thank you.

I now have to decide whether to continue. Right now, I intend to. Tomorrow, who knows? It matters not. I set myself a goal, I got there, & that's all that matters. Your support & encouragement helped no end.

Achieving personal goals, no matter how trivial they may seem to others, is priceless.

Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible. You have been warned.

I certainly hope you keep going with the diary Tikay.

Whilst others may write with more flair, or be wittier, or tell funnier stories, yours is a fascinating blend of poker, engineering, nature and well, life really.

Oh and yours is, in turn, witty, thought-provoking and generally enthralling.

It's been a grand first year.

Everything in Vegas is BIG.

These pics, outside Caesars, must be 30' tall. That's Elton on the left. I have no idea who the girls are - his backing singers maybe.

Penn & Teller have giant Billboards all over Vegas, advertising their Rio Theatre Show. To my certain knowledge, they've been "resident" at the RioTheatre since 2005. I cannot help but wonder what their Contract is worth. Anyone know?

I think the middle is Bette Middler and the end one is Cher
