One of the young internet dudes I crossed swords with in Vegas last month plays under the name 'Pearljammer' online. All he ever listens to is Pearl Jam and there's nothing wrong with that. A fine band.
If Pearl Jam 'floats your boat', you might want to check out the following tracks, it doesn't get much better:
No One Knows, Queens Of The Stone Age
Cochise, Audioslave
Stacked Actors, Foo Fighters

For some weird reason, I was researching blonde Forum Membership the other day. (Yes, sad life I lead, I know).
We began life in Copenhagen of all places, at the EPT, where after being busted, I ran a sort of ad-hoc "LIive Update", the forerunner of today's Interactive Updates. I used up my credit card limit on the Hotel PC, & so I was texting Updates to AdamM, if I recall.
Anyway, it's interesting (or not....) to view the very early blonde Members. We began on 29th January 2005. Day One joinees included.....
Karabiner. (Staff apart, our first Member).
bookiebasher
ChunkyMick
Newport Lad
bobby1
I KNOW IT
LuckyBlind (who I bumped into yesterday).
NickW.
Byron
Next day we added....
AdamM
Ironstein. This Forum woiuld not exist without the help he gave me early doors, what a help he was to me, sorting out techie stuff & new Members. Noew we can't get rid of him, sigh.
SlowMo
Redsimon
The next day, 31st saw, amongst others....
Tighty!
Thewy
Dave Lloyd
WSOPin05
Feb saw a momentous month for blonde, look at these..........
Jim Read
potfolio
Camel
Yogi
EricStoner
action-man
Carlo
Edy G
snoops
Londonpokergirl
IFM
Ariston
RED-DOG
Mother Hen
Mlc-M
Alright-Jack.
A lot of water has flown under the blonde bridge since then, many tears, many smiles, many new friends, many spats.
The idea was to start a Forum, "poker with a smile", because at the time, all the poker forums were a bit, err, aggressive. I'm afraid it's tough to maintain that "poker with a smile" mantra sometimes now, but we try. Everyone wants to fight everyone, wassatabout?
THM was un-moderated at the time, but later became Modded, & improved muchly because of that.
Joe
Beevers
was a huge help to me in Copenhagen, & since.
Joe was "spotting" names for me, in return for which, I was dual Posting my mini-Update on blonde & THM. But some daft bugger spammed blonde on THM, & Joe got cross with me, he thought it was me, or a blonde cronie. I protested,"check the IP Joe", & he did. It turned out to be someone on the Wm Hill network. Bit of a bugger, that bobby1.......

I don't quite get how Vegas works this, but if you enter a Tourney, you always get an optional "Staff Bonus" of chips.
So, last night's Caesars jobbie was advertised as "$500 + $40", & "15,000 chips". In fact, you get 12,500 chips - & - seperately - 2,500 chips for the "Staff Bonus". What that about?
I was always under the impression that this money was added to any tips for the staff for some unknown reason...

yep it goes to the dealers. When I was in vegas last year I played a $60 tournament. 1500 starting chips. An optional extra 3000 chips for $3!!!!

God granted him to be a boy for the sixth part of his life, and adding a twelfth part to this, he clothed his cheeks with down. He lit him the light of wedlock after a seventh part, and five years after his marriage granted him a Son. Alas!, late-born wretched chid, after attaining the measure of half his father's full life, chil fate took him. After consoling his grief by the science of numbers for four years, he took his life.
So, who was he, &, much easier, how old was he when he died?
You'll need to understand number theory. He did.

Interesting answers, but no cigar.
A little earlier than Stu's era.
Can't believe Tighty has not had a spin at this one.

You are WAY out on the age, have another pop.
How you know it was Diophantus?

The riddle was really familiar, I recall having to solve this very on when I was at school, many moons ago, I cant be that far out on the age though, off to get out my math book.

I cant solve it beyond here,
(1/6)oX + (1/12) oX + (1/7) oX + 5 + oX (1/2) = X
X equals his age upon death
Unfortunately my mind is no longer as brilliant as it once was, Or i am just too lazy
or i have muffed the equation completely lol
can anyone take it to the next stage?

Lets give it a bash, Damn you Tikay got my mind working now,
17X + 23x + 4x + 140 + 14x = 28x
ok so I think we take it to
58x + 140 = 28x[/s]
brain is beginning to hurt at this point
ARRRRGH
I cant get it from here, I am screwing it up from here cos i get he is either 5 or 21 both are wrong i'm sure.
Need help from a proper brain
Ok upon further inspectionI have muffed it, I wont get sleep now
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1/6 x + 1/12 x + 1/7x + 5 + 1/2x + 4 = x
is the base
For some reason I want to multiply 12 by 7 to generate X using the least common denominators
ok I cant get it, if i keep this up i will crack the lappy, need sleep

You are doing great Blly. Resist the urge to google it.
I'm amazed - & very pleased - that they still teach this stuff in school.
