I guess Snoopy or Flops would be your best bet for brits in the ME.

Did you manage to watch your DVD yet its a very good movie.

No, not yet Jim, been a bit busy. Will do, though.

Tikay, there's an Apple shop in the big shopping mall opposite the Wynn. I bought a 32GB Touch there the other day. Make sure you know which one you want.

It's the fashion show mall. And there is an Abercrombie & Fitch store there too, I know as I spent $400 there last week Tongue The music in the abercrombie store will be too loud for you though Tony.

Thanks Rich.

Why on earth would they have loud music in a clothes shop? How does that work? Did some sound-sytem-seller get a bluff through - "Listen mate, have loud music, you'll sell more T-Shirts"? Strewth.

Hope you had a decent journey home, see you soon, maybe at DTD.

Spotted at Caesars Palace really quite wonderful, light & airy Cardroom tonight, Sonny Osman.

He runs, or helps run, Loose Cannon now, I think he's their Accountant, & I saw him there a while back at a private Event. He tells me that Loose Cannon is doing more & more "Corporate" work, which is a nice earner. Niche markets are the way forward, because it's wll nigh impossible to make money out of organising & running Tournament Poker, unless you have some cute business angles.

I saw this most sexy new Bus tonight - note the "engine-out-the-front" design, which died out in the fifties. I can only hazard a guess that it allows for a lower floor, thus "eay-step" & better disabled access.

I like it. A lot.

I had reason to pop down to the WSOP Press Room/Media Centre tonight.

As I marched along that bloody never-ending Rio Corridor the atmo was spooky - it was completely empty. A week ago it was a throng of people, now it's deserted.

I looked into the Amazon Tourney Room, where they were down to 34 players. The last few Tables were scrunged up into a corner, the Spectators were roped off - they are not allowed inside the ropes, at ESPN's behest, & it was deathly quiet. This is the last 34 in the WSOP for goodness sake, & because of TV the place is dead.

I went into the Media Centre, which a few days ago did not have a seat to spare. It was just about empty. (Pic below). Flops was telling me that Access is even barred from the Arena to him & his crew now.

A Plasma was showing "all-in & call" hands in the Media Centre (not outside, Heaven forbid, spectators could see it), & the wait whilst the ESPN crews got "set" for each hand, & street, was agonisingly slow. A player is all-in at the WSOP, the world's biggest poker Event, & he has to wait 2 minutes for the TV gang to arrive. Then a whole minute betwen flop & turn, ditto turn & river, to allow TV commentary to be edited in later. And what compensation do players get for this intrusion? Yup, SFA.

The ESPN hit-squad threw us out a dozen or more times last week, despite the fact that were complying 100% with our agreement to film, & causing no intrusion to anyone but ESPN. Sky Poker have shown a whole bunch of WSOP coverage, which can't be a bad thing for Harrah's, WSOP, or WSOP-E, but I was told by a Harrah's High-Up that ESPN had become paranoid about us. Jeez.

Nolan Dalla - an absolute Gent - must have ejected me from the Arena 5 or 6 times this year - last year, too - I just see him coming "hands up Nolan, you got me, I'm bang to rights", & I scuttle out, with Nolan smiling benevolently. He's a good man. But ESPN Rule, OK?

This wait for the flop, turn and river when you are all in is absolute torture.

Tikay,

Style Note

Just so you know, the label to be seen in this year is RUEHL. It's Abercrombie for older people (and I know how old you are, I've seen your passport).

And they play your sort of music, too.

If you knew who it was for, you'd not dare say that.......

Vegas - tacky personified at Caesars Palace

Beneath this mock Roman ceiling, on a 15' high plinth - Elton John's red piano.

Vegas - Cardroom Class personified - Caesars Tournament Room.

Seats about 360, with 3 other overspill areas adjacent, light, airy, spacious, beautifully run, comps run on time, Dealers all excellent.  Superb.

This is the pleasantly sauve Caesars Main Cash-Game area (there are two others).

For the last 2 weeks, they have had 30+ Cash-Games going, almost 24/7. Now, with the WSOP circus leaving Town, it's empty. This was taken at 4pm today.

...and the equally well-appointed Caesars Sports Betting Parlour, comfy armchairs galore. Again, empty at 4pm today. Everyone's gone home.
