Excellent news that Raj is back, no boring, quiet tables when she's dealing.
Good to hear you've broken your Seb duck Tikay, there really is nothing quite like playing with Tim NBD.

Seb? Never seen anything quite like it!

He's just extraordinary. It's almost like he plays with a death wish on his stack. He played every hand except 4 pre the first break last night. Then he found a decent hand, got multi-called & sucked out by some scally, & said "how could you call?"......

Played the Friday night £75-er at Luton, 93 runners, &  dodged the early maniacs & emerged 4 Tables from home in comfy shape.

But I made a complete & total pigs ear of my exit hand, after limping with K-Q UTG, & getting all tangled up on a K-Q-J flop. I knew, 100%, he had K-J, or Q-J, A-K at a push, so I never hesitated to bet the flop & shove in on the blank turn. Not the toughest of calls for him with his sweetly played A-Ten. The utter beauty of No-Limit, I'd played impeccable poker (Luton-style) until then, & never at any time were more than a tenth of my chips at risk, then boom, I'm toast.

I've run a bit thin recently, been outdrawn every night, but no excuses tonight. As the Racing reports say, "always behind".

A most pleasant evening though, with At-It Bradley, Compo, Dick Lynch & Jim McBride both early casualties, Dave Courteney, Ian Needleman, Stephen Kirk, Rob Garfield, Max Wilfred, Trevor Payne (Ouch!), Evil Edna, Danish, da de da. Great crew.

It was the first time I have had the pleasure of sharing a Table with Seb. OMG! When his Table broke, everyone was bidding for him to be at their Table, & a huge cheer erupted when he arrived at ours, followed by a bidding war as to who got his chips. He eventually Min-Raised, (he Raises every single hand), & called off the lot, with 3-4, on a 8-6-2 flop......

Tighty was in good form, plenty of chips, & owned his Table completely, played 2, bluffed 2 while I was there. At-It Raised, got a caller, Tighty overbet big with air, both Passed, Tighty said "Bradley's had A-Q, & Bradley said "I had A-Q".

Simon Galloway has great game, but he's "hitting", & he has that knack of squeezing every last chip out of every Pot. Holding A-9, he shoved - & got looked up! - on a Board that came like this.....

J-6-9-9-9.

I probably underbet here to keep my Customer, but Simon has everyone's card marked, & knew he'd get looked up if he shoved. He did. And he did.

He called pre-flop, on the flop and on the turn.  The 9 didn't change anything really, if he has a full house he calls a small bet or a large bet, he hasn't believed me yet so no reason to think I'm not going to get paid.  He took his time calling, then claimed AJ afterwards, which is debatable, for several reasons.  Then the rot set in and I came back to the field, before a last furlong wriggle and a nice slice of luck got me to the final.  Dealt the  the dealer then deals me the  off the table, for what would have been the first decent hand in 4 levels and an auto-shove for my short stack.  Just as I think 'marvellous' someone else shows  so more hidden luck from poker...

Tikay,
I have been a member of the forum for the last 2 ½ years but only recently got the courage to start posting. I therefore had to comment on your blog. Over the last year this as been the thread I usually look for and read last when I browsing the forum. That is because I like to save the best to last  Smiley
I am full of admiration how you managed to fit so much into your life yet still have time to update this thread. Keep up the good work and thanks for all the enjoyment you have given me. Hopefully one day I will get to meet and thank you in person.

I would never speak ill of Jen Mason, she's world. She was such a force behind the early days of blonde Updates, & set the tone "just so", is some special poker player, she's shown me great hospitality at her Hampstead Commune, fed & watered me, & been hugely enjoyable company from Vegas to Paris to Barca, to Amsterdam, & Walsall da de da.

But it has to be said.

How evil is this woman?

Cross her at your peril.

Bell-Fruit Slots get bigger by the day.

I spotted this one at Leicester Forest Service Station on Saturday.

There was a time when I thought the same thing, but alas I was wrong. Seb is destined to follow Avi over to the dark side. There is no hope, only pain.
