That is a quality simile. I'm going to use that in the future if you don't mind.
You are more than welcome to use it,

If you get your arse up to Luton tonight, I will show my appreciation for the dead money add to the tourny by showing you how to use your phone. There is even a clever 'old man' setting that should set things up just how you like them. You turn the handle 4 or 5 times and an operator comes on the line...
Even money it will be in the bin by then......
I lost all my saved Texts, too - I had hundreds. Mostly from admiring women, to be fair.
But I've still got all my phone numbers - there are 753 of them!
I really ought to find a way of noting down all those numbers, in case I lose the 'phone. Which is very probable.....

I know one crowd now has a wee portable gadget for storing all of your numbers from your SIM card in case you lose it. Himself (Mr. Laxie) has one. He loses/breaks mobiles all the time. Can't remember who or if it works with all cards, but will have a look and get back to you.

Thanks, but it looks a bit complicated. Surely an A4 Pad & a Pencil would be safer?

New phone should have arrived with an USB cable and software for your PC/laptop.
Install the software, connect the phone via the lead and hey presto you should be able to syncronize your phone contacts into Microsoft Outlook.

I thought about it but decided on the easy version...

Nothing's easy when you mix Tikay with technology.

Pen & paper? Steady on. I prefer a pencil, more reliable. I don't trust these new-fangled pen things.

Sharpened with an old knife after he sharpens that with some stone out in his back garden. Sigh.
