on friday night, i called trevor payne's all in with JJ and the BB called to, we checked it down to the river. the board was 444Q9. The bb was 1st to act on the river and rather than checking turned his hand over ( 10 10 ) so i bet 5000 and he insta called lol.

You checked JJ on a 444 flop?

You folded pocket tens (after it was proved 6 times that pocket tens were the nuts) to my shove with A7 off on an eight high board??  Grin

Eeerm - yes, I had forgotten that. But the king is irrelevant as you did say you knew i didn't have the king so it doesn't really play.  Roll Eyes. GF.

Believe it or not I once came third in a hand after flopping quads, losing to bigger quads and a rivered str.fl.

I stopped playing on Paradise Poker after that. Roll Eyes

More Poker Lingo.

How much fun is it to read the stuff the kids write now? Saw this today......

played with villain for a bit, only 1 notable pot before where i 3b junk in bb v button open,  he called and shoved ott of my cbet on an A73rbow board. Iv been splashing a bit and image is more artful dodger than scarlet pimpernell.

I am not sure what is better on the turn v a 20/15/32% agg factor type. Normally a standard double barrel spot v non-habitual floaters obv.

Oh no, it all makes sense.

He's a splashing, agg, double-barreled floater.

Surely you know what that means?

"image is more artful dodger than scarlet pimpernell. "

What precisely does this mean?

The Artful dodger implies cheeky thievery with an impish grin, which is very Alex Martin

but The Scarlet Pimpernel is a classic play and adventure novel by Baroness Emmuska Orczy, set during the Reign of Terror following the French Revolution.

A secret society of 19 English aristocrats, the "League of the Scarlet Pimpernel", is engaged in rescuing their French counterparts from the daily executions. Their leader, the mysterious Scarlet Pimpernel, takes his nickname from the drawing of a small red flower with which he signs his messages. Despite being the talk of London society, only his followers and possibly the Prince of Wales know the Pimpernel's true identity.

I fail to see the relevance.
