My personal preference is for Blogs which are a bit wider in content - not just "at-the-table" poker,

co-incidentally I have just updated my (comparitavely rubbish) blog today with it's first poker-related entry!

Update more - I've enjoyed every single one of both entries so far!

Andy Ward used to do a corker, but I'm not sure if he still does it.

He does - http://secretsoftheamateurs.blogspot.com/

Excellent, thanks Andrew. That's a good example of "not just at the table" poker Blogging.

I just took a quick look at David "Sleepless in Fulham" Lloyd. Always a good read, usually for the wrong reasons. He seems not best pleased with his e-Mail address being carelessly sprayed around, & on that, I agree with the ever-argumentative sod. There's a lot of me in him, & vice-versa, I'm sad to admit. I have to say, this carelessness with e-Mail addrresses bugs me badly. David Young used to live & die on THM, but he just disappeared iirc.

It may not be your cup of tea (in fact you may plain hate it!) but have you had a look at Rich Stevenson's (WarBwastard on blonde) blog 'voy pur ustedes' (sp?). So, so funny and not much poker.

No, never seen it.

Addy, please?

Is WarBwastard related to Wardonkey?

He got sick of the unjustified abuse he had to take from other posters on THM forum so just stopped posting.

I have a "Business" (or somesuch) Visa for the USA, obtained last year, & which I understood lasted for several years. It allows me to "work" there for "gain". Be an employee & do a job, in essence.

But I spotted this on DY's blog.....

New visa rules came into force yesterday for those wishing to enter the United States. UK visitors will no longer be able to fill in the Visa Waiver form on the aircraft and must instead be pre-cleared with ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) at least three days before departure. Already there are unscrupulous operators trying to charge money for this free service, so in order to save you from wasting money, here is the correct link from the website of the US embassy in London:

 https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/

From the embassy's site:

Travelers don't need to have specific travel plans in order to register. Registration is valid for two years or the life of the traveler's passport, whichever is shorter. So far, 99.6% of those registering have been approved - most within four seconds
.

Does everyone going Stateside have to do this?

And he certainly did get abused. His "problem" was that he was too bright, & he Posted in a medium where abuse is encouraged. In those days, of course, THM was un-Moderated. It's a far better place since it became Moderated.

My office-based day is done, & I'm heading home to meet Angell, & do my PTP stint tonight.

I'm quite sure the M25 & M1 will be flowing pleasantly. Not.

Short answer - Yes!

only if you're travelling under the visa waiver programme, as I understand it.
