It may not be your cup of tea (in fact you may plain hate it!) but have you had a look at Rich Stevenson's (WarBwastard on blonde) blog 'voy pur ustedes' (sp?). So, so funny and not much poker.

No, never seen it.

Addy, please?

Is WarBwastard related to Wardonkey?

RIP Mr Lees.

Quite a few articles in the Scottish press about him - was shocked to read that while he helped in the escape plan the actual escape was officers only, although he said that as he didn't speak German he doubted he'd have got far anyway.

What an inspiring tale!

This took my eye......

Of those who broke out of the camp only three reached safety and of the 73 recaptured, 50 were shot.

They made brave buggers in those days, eh?

God Rest his Soul.

Based on the success rate of the escapees, it seems that Mr Lees had a lucky escape by not being an officer.

Two memorable headlines from today's newspapers. The Times described Chelsea's performance in this headline......

"Smother Superior".

Meanwhile, one of the Red-Tops, commenting on the Swine 'Flu thing, (that is said to have killed 20 million folks in just 4 months the last time it visited) had this beaut.....

"Pig Flu - price of bacon soars".

Tikay - get a load of this!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8025211.stm

Quote
The fastest imaging system ever devised has been demonstrated by researchers reporting in the journal Nature.

Their camera's "shutter speed" is just a half a billionth of a second, and it can capture over six million images in a second continuously.

Its "flashbulb" is a fast laser pulse dispersed in space and then stretched in time and detected electronically.

The approach will be instrumental in imaging fast-moving or random events, such as communication between neurons.

Things are bad at home right now. She says she sick of me. Football, Rugby, Cricket, always sport on the telly. Anyway, I booked a quiet table for two last night to try and patch things up. But by 9 o'clock things were 10 times worse. She hadn't potted a single bloody red all night.

It seems to make good sense, assuming enough demand, and is a zillion times greener than Air travel. But let's be right, if it's not British Rail, it's not proper rail. Nobody does Railways like the Brits, & no Brits do them even half as well as IKB.
