We flew - eventually - from Terminal 1, at Heathrow, & I was dreading the aged Terminal, but it was lovely - very quiet, since BA left I suppose, (& a lack of 'planes from Aer Lingus helps), & I liked it a lot. You walk from check-in to the Departure Lounge via a series of inter-connected tubes in the sky, very odd, but not at all unpleasant. The walk is about 9 miles.
Outside, they had placed well-tended flower boxes to soften the harsh concrete environment, a lovely touch, & they make grand ash-trays, too.

More sinister, though, were Police vehicles everywhere, including this Ford-badged oddity. How much one of these cost, you reckon?

Look at this beauty, spotted at the Hotel.
The mirrors & front windscreen alone must cost a fortune.
But the Driver told me he never gets hassle from those traffic-light based windscreen cleaner folks.

Lastly - we start Filming, over the raging Liffey in 10 minutes - I spotted this taxi-ing in at Heathrow yesterday - is it the Airbus A380? (Background). If so, I'm thrilled. If not, just bleurgh.

A sidebar headline in today''s "The Times" says......
"Blunkett hit by Cow".
And it's true. He was, & he now has a broken rib as a result of his beefy encounter. I know MP's are currently unpopular, but that's going too far.

I gather that the cost of this beaut was just over €300,000. Nice, though.

Spent Sunday in Dublin, with In-Poker, covering the Short-Handed thingie, very good it was, too, would have love to have played it.
8 players returned at 2pm on Sunday (Day 3) with an average of about 70 x BB, so we knew we were in for a long day, & true to form, it was 1am before it ended, aided by a rather bizarre 2 hour Dinner-Break.
The Chip Daddy when the Final began was a young lad by the name of Cieran Taggart, but everything he tried went tits up, & he was an early exit, looking very demoralised, poor lad.
From there on in,
Michael
Muldoon
(Michael, not Mick, he insisted), absolutely mullered everyone. His best previous Live Cash was in the London EPT a few years back, when he got 4th for a 6 figure cash. Totally relaxed, totally confident, ever-smiling, he simply blew the final Table away. & ended up Heads-Up with an A-B-C playing Swiss guy named Raymond Somebody.
He then totally outplayed Raymond, until his Chip Lead was 2,100,000 to 700,000.
And then, Michael just totally imploded, in two hands, & Raymond took the lolly home to Switzerland.
All very odd, & I interviewed Michael within minutes of the conclusion. He was devestated - he knew he'd blown it - but still smiling. He made no excuses, just said "I need to look at a few things, I made a right mess of that".
Good lad him, and if he played more big Events, he'd worry plenty of the established names.

It first airs at Thursday, 8.30pm, again at Midnight, & that schedule pretty much repeats every day for a week.
I think, with a little twiddle to his game, & his gears, he could be a really big earner. I hope so, I liked his style & table demeanour.

Always nice to find a friend when we go In-Poker-ing, & I spotted this Dealer on Sunday in Dublin, familiar to many DTD-ers. She's had her hair cut much shorter, & coloured, but still looks as delicious as ever. So nice, I took 2 photos.

You are not a pain. Flushy is a pain, Boldie is a pain, EvilPie is a pain, you are a pleasure to deal with, so I shall pleasure you happily.
It is not on Sky Sports, it is on Channel 865, aka "Sky Poker", & it's Streamed on the Internet, too.
