Here at the office  & studios in Feltham, we have a resident fox, & cat. Bill the Security guy, feeds them every night.

The fox - a vixen - was sick & skeletal 2 years ago, but she got well, had cubs, the cubs moved on, she got sick again, but she's in good shape now.

The cat is ferral, & only Bill can get near her - she follows him around as a dog follows it's Master.

The relationship between the cat & the fox is surreal - they pretty much live together, feed together, have no fear of each other, & seem to just ignore each other really. Lovely to see. They both sit right by the front door, every night, & all night. There is a mat outside the front door, & the fox playfully rolls the corner of the mat up repeatedly. We put the mat straight, rinse repeat, it's like she wants to play.

Sadly - but it's natures way - we often see mangled pigeon & rabbit bodies, which I guess is down to the fox.

Here's the fox, pictured last night  - we call her Samantha.

And here's the cat.

Now, I know what you are thinking - don't give up the day job.

But I persevered, & eventually got a perfect photograph of her.

This was attempt 1, without a flash. Probably not the best cat photo you have ever seen, but it was dark, & the cat is black.

So I tried again, without the flash this time.

You will, I think, agree, this is near perfection.

Perseverance is all,  & after 11 attempts, I got this. Perfect.

By the bye, if any photographers are out there, this was taken with a flash. WTF? Why did the Flash not "enlighten" everything, especially the moggy?

Anyway, you'll agree, I have a special talent for photography.

The cat must have blinked there.

And just to prove it was no fluke, I got another, almost identical. Ignore the road cone please. That's just a prop.

You should ask Tom to lend you his air rifle.

Because your flash has an effective range of approx 10ft, anything beyond that will just look darker cos the camera thinks it is going to photograph a well lit scene.

It always amuses me when peeps at concerts try to take flash pics from 300 yards away.

Talking of which, I could tell you a lovely story about the guy - a Yorkshireman - who invented cats-eyes.

A clear "I'm down with the kidz & go to concerts" brag, imo.

PS - We call them gigs these days Tom.

Lol. Post of the Week contender.

Tough week though - you are up against DBC2007, & bigdikus. A vintage week indeed.
