Night Heid - I am having a nice apple crumble instead of taking my shoes off. I know that's not a directly comparative soothing experience, but I feel better.

Real reason Simon is out is that he saw Kev and decided it was lap-dancing time!

Six tables left, and a slow stream of the knocked-out are coming from the cardroom. Tikay has 22,000 (did I already say that? I'm sleepy). Kev has joined the small crowd blocking the entrance to the downstairs bit.

Here's the Dan Samson drama of a little earlier - he had about 30k and raised in the cutoff with jd qd. The button called. On the td flop. he bet 3,000, was raised 7,000, and moved all-in to find his caller with . There was no improvement and he'd lost two thirds of his stack. Not to worry, he's made it back to 25,000. Dan was a 65% favourite in that hand... but don't tell him that.

Walking past Tikay's table and what do I see but Dan Samson all-in again. This time he has the goods: ad asp vs qd qs doubling up to 20-something-k.

Someone just left in a hurry after their AJ failed to beat K 10 all-in preflop in a pretty dramatic way. The flop came down with the three remaining tens all on it, and there was no hope for Mateyboy. Wish I could tell you who it was, and tell them it just wasn't their day.

Chandra Khajuria OUT - And guess who was responsible for his demise - Tikay, nicking in the cutoff with kh jh . Chandra's ac js looked good, until the board came out: qc kd . He told me to tell you that he thought his hand was kd kh, but I can't bring myself to do it.

Oh and Hi Robert - I missed your post, so distracted am I by the final 20 minutes of this second comp. I feel like I've crammed two days into 12 hours.

We have been informed that there are 48 players remaining, compared to 45 from the first flight. Come on three down in 8 minutes, for a nice even 9 tables starting off tomorrow...
