over last three seasons it seems;

Rooney 41, league, 10 domestic cup, 8 Europe, Total 59
Drogba 42 League, 7 cup, 12 Europe, Total 61

Drogba needed time to adjust, Rooney is young and is still developing.
about honours even at the minute.

I think in 10 years time Rooneys record will have pulled away

Gotta agree with you there Chip,  Rooney and Drogba in the same team would be fantastic.

Obviously!!

Drogba is 29 now, he'll be 39 in 10 years!

But yeh about honours even at the moment.

Rooney will have been playing in part of a world class team for 15 years by end of his career, where Drogba has only been  in a world class team for the last 2 years.

Incomparable IMO

not changed any tune. question is, who is the best striker, not who's had the best season.
I still think Rooney is the better striker. recent form (three years) is even, but when we look back on there careers in the future I think it'll be clear Rooney was the best striker.
calm down

Rooney is the better player.  Drogba is the better striker.

Rooney doesn't dive as much though.

Like comparing Frank Lampard with Makelele. Two COMPLETELY different forward players.

Both are in-expendable to their teams - but I would choose Rooney for all round ability + longevity.

Exactly my thoughts, it's like asking if red is a better colour than green.
