In a dramatic finale tonight Team lever held on to win the July challenge despite a gallant effort from the Dookers, who sent three players to the final including the winner..However Lever sent two to the final with two more in the top 15 to seal the deal

CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH TEAMS
for a great sustained battle over the month

Top player for the winning team COLCHESTER KEV now plays the GUKPT Luton on behalf of his team-mates (Eck, b4 matt, itb and Rookie) who have shares in him, starting next week. Many many congratulations from everyone. Should be a fantastic experience.

Thanks to all the players for all the teams for helping the Challenge get off to a great start, next month we have  11 teams confirmed with 2 more with news awaited

Event 9 was won by Nezperce of the Dookers ahead of Jim D. Well done both.

Here are the final standings for July:

1 Team Lever 326
2 The Shortbread Dookers 347
3 Team Bluffer 393
4 Dogs 438
5 OfficePoker 449
6 LOL Modaments 521
7 Team Silo 525
8 Team Unknowns 673
9 Ironside's Mugs 728
10 Northern Boys 736
11 Whackers of the Bush 857
12 Donkaments 942

Top player for the month based on lowest score/best aggregated finishing position over all nine comps:..Dookers' Brad Strider! Well done

Wow ... to say im chuffed would be an understatement, i have been a nervous wreck all bloody day, i even sent a rallying PM to the troops this afternoon LOL ... it has worked wonders for the diet, during this evenings comp i went through 40 cigs and 7 bog rolls Cheesy

Firstly I would like to thank my team mates Matt, Rookie, Turny and Jim for their continued effort and constant good performances that kept us in the hunt from day 1.

I would also like to give a special mention of respect to the Dookers, they pushed us damn hard every week and even at one stage tonight it looked like they might nick it at the death.  Sometimes during the month battle got a little heated at times and the desire to win such a top value prize took over a bit, but credit to everyone for maintaining the blonde spirit and finishing the series with smiles and virtual handshakes all round.

Brad Strider has been remarkably consistent all series, and I would like to offer him 5% of any return i get in luton. well not offer, im giving him a 5% share whether he likes it or not Wink ... well done Brad.

So im off to Luton to play a £1000 comp ... safe to say i would never be playing it without qualifying so thanks to blonde and Virgin for the team league, and fingers crossed i can do everyone proud.

thankyou thankyou thankyou
