In answer to the Rick question, sadly I think he is out. He had a pretty torrid set of cards, constantly having the 2nd best hand. I'll confirm his exit when i catch up with him.

As I passed Julian Thew 's table, he had donned his earphones but on seeing me he lifted what appeared to be a rather skinny stack into the air and crossed his fingers on both hands. When I got a chance to talk with him, he told me things weren't going well. I told him, don't worry no doubt you'll be up to 80k by the next level. With most players that would be an idle gee-up just to give them a boost, but with yo-yo, well you never know!

Rooky was looking a bit happier with a stack of 15k. "Moving the right way" he said with the smile that's been on his face all night.

Alex was away, but noflops managed to snap him so a picture will be added to this post shortly...

Flushy has lost a big pot with 2 pair vs a set. He raised from the cutoff to 900 with A6 and the button "who has played back at me a couple of times" flat called. The flop came TJ6...check....check.

The turn was an A, flushy bet out with his 2 pair and was raised an amount that he felt he couldn't pass only to find his nemesis with TT for a set.

"It was a lesson in why not to raise with A6" said flushy sagely, before raising with A7 shortly afterwards.

Bad girl is getting busier, after 2 limpers, including Flushy, on what is now 150 300, she makes it 1300 on the button, punishing the limpers, who all choose to fold. Flushy looks in admiration before folding his cards. He knows a good limper's tax sheriff when he sees one.

Here is Alex Martin, doing a Willie Tann impression methinks.

Steve Vladar has doubled up with against on a board. He'd previously had a hard time, having a set run into a rivered straight amongst other stuff.

Jeff Buffenbarger is on life support after having his Aces cracked by Nines all-in preflop.

Julian Thew has bitten the dust sadly.

He got his chips in preflop with KK, finding a caller with KQ.

The flop came K high, but with a J. The turn A and river T sealed his fate is cruel fashion, but although i missed his exit you can be 99.9% certain that Julian took his horrible beat in his stride , with a handshake for the lucky winner and a "good luck to all" departing message.

I think I spotted another Notts Blonde - Woodsey in the bottom photo of the 1st page. He's got a pink shirt on and is on the nearest table to the camera. Any news on how's he's going? He came 7th in the £500 yesterday for £3k so looks to be on form.

As the blinds have increased, so has the level of chip violence accordingly.....

James Dempsey, Dan Carter, Barry Neville have all had their stacks reduced to rubble and have been busted.

Flushy was unfortunate to run his K9 straight into a Q9 nut straight against the same man who had taken 10k off him earlier.

Barry was upset with himself at his exit. "Ah pleyed the hand diabolical, an ah mean diabolical" he told me. "I knew ee 'ad a set, 'ee put is chips in the sehm wey earlier when ee 'ad it" - his A8 proving no match for 99 on an A K 9 flop.

Dan Carter's exit was for an enormous stack. He called a raise from david martin with 78 and when the flop came 789, David bet 3000.

Dan raised to 6500, before David made it 13000.

"I knew he was overplaying his overpair" he said as he reraised allin and was called by T T. A J on the turn sealed the straight and sent an enormous 70ks worth of chips to his opponent and crashed the high flying dan out of the tournament.

Willie Tann's stack is steadily growing and although appearing lethargic whenever I visit, he is clearly not hanging around. I was told he had straight against straight before a lovely heart on the river gave him a straight flush to augment his stack. I stayed to watch another blockbuster Willie Tann hand but he clearly likes to do his chip gathering business when i am elsewhere as my patience was scantly rewarded with the sight of him just gently munching on a small biscuit. I think it was a hobnob, but this may be misreported. If it was a bourbon, don't go for my throat.

Floppy has a nice picture of him modelling some mirrored shades which the table all agreed were cool.

Sorry the above does not relate to Julian's exit. I have been misinformed. I am off to hunt down those responsible and have them shot. Unless it was my fault in which case I will reward the perpetrators with a cigarette.

Ram Vaswani is also out, he missed a gutshot straight-flush draw then according to Chris Bruce began to push with high regularity before he had some rags called by K-Q and failed to hit.

Jeff Rogers has also gone, he held on a board in an unraised pot, Burnley John had limped with though and took the whole stack, elevating himself to the heady heights of 40k.

Willie Tann can afford to look like a cool dude after knocking Julian Thew out with a rivered straight flush.

Neville and Womble? I smell a sitcom...

And here is the new chip leader, David Martin. He just hit a set to knock a very short-stacked Praz Bansi. Looks like he has close to 100k now.

Ian Woodley doubled up a shorty with againsty ,

Board:

three clubs

"Keep going!!" Shouted Woodley. "I'll hit my flush soon!"

Karl Mahrenholz is OUT, I saw him squeeze the and then call a Marc Goodwin small blind raise from the big blind. The flop was , Marc made a pretty big overbet and Karl pushed and Marc immediately called with , the blank turn and river sending the birthday boy home.

Joe Grech just doubled up with Ace King against The Camel's pocket Eights, spiking the turn. Joe then knocked out the short-stacked Jeff Buffenbarger with Two Clubs against , hitting his lady.

Steve Vladar is out now too. How do I know this? Well, him sitting in the cash game is probably a good enough reason for me. Michael Muldoon and his easily spottable red t-shirt are also seemingly MIA.

Meanwhile, we had a rare moment of Romanello quietness when he pushed all in against the player sitting to his immediate left, although once his opponent passed the chirping quickly restarted.
