$25k on blonde/iPoker.  41 left so well in the money.  We're on the bubble for the next level of payout.  41st pays $74, 40th pays $145 (give or take a few cents) - double the amount anyway.

Blinds 5k/10k

On the button with  , folds to me and I bet 20k in the pot.  SB folds, BB calls.

Flop

BB checks

I bet 50k into the 45k pot - perhaps a little large but I clicked a couple of times on the bar and it stopped at 50k, close enough to a pot bet to chase out flushers

BB moves all in for another 35k, I have 33k left over after shipping the 50k in so it's all or nothing for me.

Would you call?  In hindsight, I clearly wish I'd have accepted I was behind and folded for another $75 thankyouverymuch, but I didn't.

Why are you min-raising with 99 when you only have 103k left. Push preflop or fold surely?

With a decision like this, you should be deciding whether you're playing to ladder up or to win. Here, I don't think you've fully decided which way to go and instead been caught in the middle.

It's like Mr Miyagi said, "Walk on left side of road, or right side. Never down middle."

I'd probs shove pre tbh with just 10 bb's.

Once you've bet 50K tho, u can't fold.

Agree with what has been said.

cool, thanks.  I was thinking last night after I'd posted that I should have pushed.  Wouldn't have changed anything but it's the play I need to correct.

Indeed it is.

To become a better player, it is MORE important to MAKE correct decisions than WINNING the pot.

To be honest, that's why I didn't fold.    Even after my lame min raise, I could have either checked the flop or bet less allowing me to get away from the pot without being busted, the bet I made really left me no option for folding.

I'll sort it out for tonights efforts Smiley

I agree the push is the correct move, but sometimes here i'd raise it up 3X to 30K, i mean you have over 10BB's and 99 is obviously a better than average hand with which to get some chips out of, especially on the button, i'm not 100% convinced tho, maybe the shove is the move after all...
