Episode 1 of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour is being aired tonight on Channel 4 at 1.05am (next week it gets an earlier 12.10am slot).

The 22-part series follows the final table action at each of the eleven stops on the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour. Each event is split across two programmes, ensuring that as many hands fas possible from the final tables can be shown. Tonight’s show is the first half of Leg 1 – which took place in Bolton in January.

Dougie Anderson presents the shows, while Victoria Coren will be leading the commentary throughout the series. In tonight's show she will be joined in the commentary box by Roland de Wolfe.

Alongside the poker itself, the shows will profile the finalists in their day-to-day lives, send up players who thought anyone wanted to hear about their bad beat tales and will include a roundup of what happened in the tournament before we got down to the final table.

The shows will air every Tuesday night until 23rd October and from then on there'll also be an extra show on Sunday nights.

In the Sky+.

First show was really good...apart from Roland De Wolfe's commentating, which I really didn't like. He didn't seem to "mesh" with Vicky C in the booth, and it seemed rather disjointed at times.

i liked roland's commentary & thought he made some insightful remarks, also thought the real life snippets were interesting too,
all that remains is to make a final, cough, plymouth, cough

Great coverage i thought. But was it just me or did Karl more or less tell Praz what he had when he re-raised him? It went something like, What u got? Karl replies I got a big kicker, Praz then mucks AQ!
