Chris Gavriel doubles up again for about the 4th time. He came over the top of a Burnley John raise, pushing with and getting called by . An incidental board, has moved him up to 45k.

Brenda Gibson, riases to 8k UTG which is called by John Hewston in MP.

Brenda checks on the flop. John, after squirming and looking uncomfortable, asks Brenda if she is slowplaying....and checks behind.

The turn prompts a quick check again from Brenda and John checks behind again...

The river comes the and Brenda immediately bets out 10k.

John says "I played this as bad as I could" and when he calls with AJ it's hard to disagree!

Brenda shows AQ for the straight and rakes in the pot.

Both still have very formidable stacks though....

Just before the dinner break, John Falconer pushed UTG and was called by Julian Thew.

John showed pocket and Julian A8. A rivered 8 and Julian won the race, knocking John out and leaving 19 players to return after the break...

a big good luck to big Alan Davies from me please. also is it brenda or barbara gibson?

great up dates as usual guys- yes ..... even you cat

Why thank you sir.

I'll pass on your regards to Alan.

And yes, there has been much debate in the press room over B Gibson's first name with names from Brenda to Barbara to Bernard thrown into the mix. The concensus is now moving toward Barbara so thanks for the correction Rudders, making me look like a tool.

Much appreciated! Hehe...

Play to resume shortly......

Hewston, we have a problem.

Hewston raises to 18k preflop, Chris Hooper calls in the cutoff.

Flop:

Check check.

Turn:

Hewston bets 16k, Hooper makes it 46k, Hewston calls very quickly.

River:

Hewston instantly moves all-in.

Hooper dwells saying, "There's only one hand that can beat me..."

He finally, after an inexplicably long time, calls with . And just as this reporter is awaiting a boring chop chop. Hewston mucks! There's a count and he's out.

Hooper is now huge chip leader with nearly 300k.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Jane Macnamara is OUT in 16th place, with A-9o. Alan Mower had Queens.

We're in the money.
