last night vc crashed again for the umpteenth time whilst ive been playing there the last time it cost me about $1000 as i had the nuts against a near certain flush, last night i was 3 handed in a $200 6pak, i was short stack on about 2k, when everybody was disconnected. I came back to find that i had 50 points left,  I have demanded my $200 back. This imo is the most untrustworthy site in the world and whrn poker is your job it can become expensive.

Vc think that to say sorry they will start a few $100 freerolls. im sorry vc but this is not good enough.  Sort your software and connection out or you will soon have no customers!

Hi actionman,

We will never be pro or against any particular site, but if you think a site is not good, why not take your custom elsewhere? We won't recommend a site either, but there are plenty out there.

Stick to the bigger ones though, some of the smaller sites wil start collapsing soon. In my opinion.

Hi Tikay,

That's an interesting point.

What makes you think the smaller ones will collapse?

growth rate in sign ups is plateauing

price war beginning in sign up bonuses, rakebacks etc

natural evolution of a maturing market is consolidation, economies of scale for the big boys and necessity of huge markting budget...survival of the fittest. Darwinism in the business world.

Yeah, I know you are not slating VC action, but my point is, if the site annoys you, (any site), why stay with it. There are PLENTY of poker sites around.

Mr Moves - why do I think smaller sites will collapse? Tighty has answered it perfectly. It's nothing to do with poker specifically. It's just the way "cycles", particularly economic cycles, go. It is GUARANTEED to happen. Nothng on earth stands in the way of typical economic cycles. I coiuld give a thousand examples, there are millions of them in history. Study any business market, any stock market, any form of economic boom - it HAS to happen. Trust me. It will. It's called natural selection in the case of living beings - Darwin told us about it.

Sorry to repeat Tighjty's Darwinism example - I never noticed he'd said it at the gtime. But it's true.

Tikay is right, however i do not feel VC falls into this bracket.

It is a long established site and is aimed at a certain part of the market (low stakes games) although they do cover the whole market.

They do not try to compete with stars/party which is why i think they will be around for a long time to come.

Just for the record. I never suggested or implied VC was a small or bad site, & I don't imagine for a moment it is in the category of cardrooms I mentioned, is is a "Major". My point was simply, be it VC or any other cardroom, if you don't like it, why stay there?

I did not think thats what you meant, however it's how i read your post.

If you want to get a good idea go to pokerpulse.com, look at the top 10 sites those will be around for a time to come, the rest probably wont!

Well, as I was suggesting that, if he was not happy on VC then why stay there, I am not sure how that could be interpreted as suggesting he should be careful not to join VC.....!

But let's not argue, my original point stands, but I clearly exempted (I believe...) VC from my area of concern. It's the SMALLER sites one needs to be wary of.

I only posted so you could make that point clear to say someone who is a lurker and does not know you aswell who might have read it the same way i did.

I agree with you, if you do not think VC is good enough then do not play there.

Me & Flushy could argue all day. And night. He takes for ever to lose....

I still can't see for the life of me how my comment could possibly be interpreted as meaning VC.  But maybe I'm wrong, & let's leave it at that
