Does the word "Either" offer a choice of

A: Two items.

B: Any number of items.

Would you like a dog or a cat?

Would you like either a dog, a cat or a bird?

Not sure. Hope that helps.

I don't know, but answer me this.

What is a "cull" in respect of sick or unwanted animals?

I heard the BBC News refer to a single animal that was "culled". Surely, "cull" means more than one?

A cull does not necessarily refer to a living thing. or to a number. As I understand it, it means  removal of the unwanted.

Yep, one of two things. Either A or B. One of A, B and C.

As in, "either of the triplets"?

Good question Tom!

Just to be difficult, it can mean both of two options.

Either is an English pronoun, adjective, and conjunction, meaning one, or the other, of two.
