neither is custard or butter, it was certainly an education...

in fact, the only thing that would be allowed on this thread so far would be sweetcorn (and the not mentioned so far piccalilli)

don't forget though Jane, cheese isn't yellow as it's made from milk which is white (I believe the phrase used was 'white at source') as is butter which isn't yellow anyway, it's cream coloured.

I seem to remember that butter was classed as white too...

Here is the script ... I have an aversion ... no no , a pathological hatred of yellow food, its just plain wrong ..END OF !!

So the conversation starts over a nice meal and a few bevvies.... I start by slating sweetcorn, peppers, piccalilli ..  Then the assorted assembled smart arses start citing things like Banana (the skin is yellow, granted... but you dont eat the bloody skin do ya !)

Cheese .. red leicester aint yellow is it !!

Butter ?? how the F*** is butter yellow ??

anyway it matters not, Yellow food is just wrong wrong wrong .... I mean is there any person on this planet that isnt safely locked away in a padded cell that actually likes picalilli ??
