Do we need to eat?
I didn't eat today, and when drunk earlier I argued with a friend that I could not eat until Saturday. Achievable?

Depends on how strict you are on what is classed as eating.
If you are allowed to drink anything then you don't need to eat.
E.g. milkshake, alcohol, soup, liquidised roast dinner. All full of energy and actually eating ?

I did ten days on just water once - after the first day you really just don't feel hungry.
It's perfectly possible to go for a month - you just need to have something like freshly pressed carrot juice every so often to stop your body from thinking it's never going to get nutrients again and do light exercise to encourage your body to burn up fat instead of muscle (if you do nothing you'll use up muscle tissue before fat).

I love food, so I think after a day or so I would lose the will to live anyway. I think it's technically possible to survive for a few weeks on water alone, depending on your fat reserves.
