Karl Mahrenholz just made a stupendous value bet with J-T on the river of a 8-3-8-6-6 board with three hearts. Luton GUKPT Winner Dave Clarke was the pay-offee, calling with errr.....2-2

WOW....  Dave must have been so focused on reading Karl's bluff that he missed the board double pairing on the river. As there is no hand he is beating. (been there  ) Still chips are chips COME ON KARL

Maybe he put Karl on ther other 22 and was making a hero call for a split?

Indeed or 23 is also a split.

A splattering of chip counts

Praz Bansi 8,000
Karl Mahrenholz  25,000
Chaz Chattha  16,500
James Akenhead 21,000 (just moved to Praz's table as Praz rubs his hands together).

Barny Boatman  12,000
Silo Graham  16,300
Nik Persaud  10,700
Stuart Rutter 23,700

With the average at 16,000 Tuan Le is doing mighty fine on around 50,000.  He pulls me over to inform me "I'm looking like a camel in a desert!"

Bev Pace is OUT, she never really got going and then she found Jacks in the big blind whilst the small blind had AQ.  The small blind hit sadly.

Roberto Romanello is OUT of his second tournament in a week holding Aces. His small raise to 625 (blinds 150/300/25) enticing Ariston to call with 7-3 on the button, all the money going in on an 8-7-3 flop and no improvement for the Welshman.

Marty Wilson is personally commentating on every single all-in battle on his table, as though he's auditioning for Vicky Coren's job. At the same time he's making sure everyone knows everyone else on his table in a way that reminds me of Louis' dinner party in Ghostbusters...

"Ok everyone, this is Surinder Sunar, he's a professional poker player, he's just been moved our table..."

Soon enough though he's silent as they're in a battle, the board reading Two Clubs and Marty picks out a whole host of chips, and bets 10,150 by stamping the stack down firmly in front of Surindar in an attempt to intimidate. It's all too much the former Paris WPT winner, the bet is worth half his stack and he he doesn't want to play. Quick as a flash, Marty shows and rakes in the pot.

We're now on a break before the 200/400/50 level.

Harry Zammit has a very big stack cracking with three clubs on a Two Clubs board.

There was just an announcement that there were a few bowls of sweets put on one of the empty tables. We didn't get a photo, but this is what it looked like within a few seconds...

Marty Wilson has a monster stack now, must be bordering on 80,000.  For the second consecutive hand Josh Tyler and Marty Wilson see a flop, the first encounter Josh bet and Marty came over the top by pulling a tall stack of 1 thousands over the line.  That time Josh passed.

Next hand, on a flop of

Josh bet out again about 3.5k and again Marty pulled a big stack of purples (1k) over the line to cover Josh.  This time Josh calls after careful consideration. On their backs and Marty is behind:

Marty
Josh

The turn came    River a sucker punching  to knock out Josh with a same two pair but King kicker - OUCH, I hate that!
