Enchantment? Enchantment!

Writing a prologue for a Day 1B is always really tough, since essentially all we can say is, "Here we going again..." so trying to come up with something new and inventive but not repetitious is a real challenge. A challenge I'm trying to get around by simply referring to it as a challenge...

Day 2 is easier, because you can always talk about the big stacks, who is looking good and who you reckon is playing well and whether 'so-and-so will blow his massive chip lead for the third competition running...'

Then when you get to the final day there's always an excellent story about at least one or two of the players, be it good or bad and you can build up the final table and whether this one will be a classic, and usually my predictions are absolutely dead on the money completely wrong in all ways. For example a few days ago in Bristol, the line-up was absolutely brilliant but somehow, through no fault of the players or structure, it just didn't seem to work for me as a spectacle or a poker fan, (though when it comes out on TV, knowing my luck, it'll be a cracker).

So how to describe Day 1B...

I could begin by naming a few players who'll be around. But most viewers will know if a regular wasn't playing yesterday, he or she is most likely playing today. I could try and get around it by just posting the chip counts from last night, but they're already here: http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=28957.msg592244#msg592244

I just can't think of anything to put for the Day 1B intro, if you have any ideas then let me know...

Oh and play will begin at 3pm.

Here we go again.

Good afternoon all, its bloody cold up north I tell you.  Lovely day, but FREEZING

Me on arrival at the casino this afternoon

I'm not sure if I have mentioned often enough that I have bird flu.  I stocked up nicely on Day & Night nurse and my thoughts of brain freeze I bought the idiots guide to tablet taking:

Well it's a complete sell-out today, we've already got 3 alternatives waiting to play. Alan Vinnicombe is the first casualty with Nick Gibson the beneficiary, but all he would say was, "the ideal card I wanted was a club that paired the board..." He'd housed up with Tens whereas Vinnicombe was holding .

Barry Neville has already lost a big 8k pot, passing to a milky 2k bet on the river of a three diamonds .

Dan Owston has hit a straight flush already with on a Two Clubs three clubs board extracting a fair number of chips from the utterly fabulously named Ben Dong who was holding a six.

Barny Boatman, fresh from his success in Bristol, just won a 4,000 pot from Chunkymick, on a board with .

Dan Carter is wishing he stayed at the bar to get his food as he's already down to 9,000.

Good Luck to Mr Silo & other Blondes.

Yes good luck indeed to Silo Graham or Graham Codd as his mother named him.  He is table buddies with Simon Zach, Neil Channing, Andrew O'Flaherty & Nam Le today, pah peice of cake for the blondeite.

As mentioned by Floppy, a highly enthused Nick Gibson here after doubling up almost straight away.

Another blonde Woodsey / Andrew Woods has picked up a few chips early doors.  There were a few limpers then a raise from Andrew Feldman to 150, Woodsey gave him a spin with  and was rewarded with a flop of

three diamonds   Woodsey fired out and was called, same again on the  three clubs turn and same again on the  river.  Feldman was holding  and payed off the cheeky monkey.
