Enchantment? Enchantment!

Neil Channing is now using the advantage of the big stack raise pretty much every single pot. After another raise to 35k, the rest of table thinks he might, (surprise, surprise) not always have the goods.

"I've a confession to make," says Neil, "One of the last three raises, I've not had a premium hand."

After a short time in the tank, Lee Biddulph moves in over the top. Passed back to Channing, who folds quickly and says, "Yes, it was this one!"

Paul Murphy has doubled through Ben Vinson with against on a three diamonds board....

Paul Murrell has taken a load of chips off Jason Shellum. Channing and Murrel limped, Iwan Jones made up the blind and Shellum checked.

The board was checked down til the river and looked like this:

At this point, Iwan Jones checked, Shellum bet 40k, Channing passed and Morrell made it 120k, Jones passed and Shellum made the call, flipping over , but Morrell had .

Thoughts on the call of the raise here? Shellum surely should know that Morrell could think he's value betting a 7 himself here, so isn't going to re-raise without a 7. He's very unlikely to re-raise with an Ace on the river for the same reason, so perhaps he should be passing the top two pair on the river as a raise is only going to come from a 7 or a full house.

Martin Cavanagh was having some problems with his neighbour Ben Vinson, In a blinds confrontation they see

 Two Diamonds

Ben bets out 16k, Martyn calls.  Turn  , Ben checked and Martyn bet 50k, Ben then went all in.  Cavanagh dwelled for a long time and asked the standard question these days "Will you show me?"  Ben was having none of it though, completely ignoring Martyn.  He asks the question another 2 times, Ben  - STILL, SILENT.  Another player called the clock to which Martyn relied "thank you" and meant it.  30 seconds left and he passed "a big" but we never saw.

A couple of hands later he looses another 23k or more to Paul Gardner and is looking in danger now.

Iwan Jones pushed all in for 75k, everyone passed and "pocket tens" says Iwan, whilst showing 10 4 offsuit...

Just had news that Martyn Cavanagh has doubled up through Leo Kam, he must have gained more chips since his encounters with Ben Vinson because he is now over 200,000 for the first time.

Play has now finished for the day.

Just before the end, Lee Biddulph doubled through Jason Shellum just before the end with vs on a board AIPF.

Martyn Cavanagh just got lucky in a pot against Mike Williams, Martyn had and Mike was holding , the board coming for an old...

Well that's a wrap for us tonight here in Blackpool, we have 14 players left to fight it out for the final 9 tomorrow a little earlier too - a 1.30pm kick off.

Still some familiar names left in, Iwan Jones, Neil Channing, Leo Kam, Ben Vinson, Martyn Cavanagh et al.  A redraw again and the chip counts from the end of tonights play will be with us some time overnight.

Early night me thinks after days on end living in a casino....
