Guy Steel is OUT
Dave Clark is OUT
Kevin O'Leary is OUT - After going down to 7.5k courtesty of a set over set from Richard Ashby, he limped with AK in a 5 way pot. On a raggety flop the tight guy at the made it 900 with about 3.5k in the pot. Kevin didn't buy it and went all in for about 7.5k, unfortunately as it turns out Paul Smallwood had also limped with a pair of Jacks and made the call. Nevermind Kevin, you have nearly a whole year now of being a champion

Table 1, which I had previously referred to as a table of Tobey Maguire-ites, all scared of having their photos taken, has taken on a new dynamic thanks to one of the chip leaders Mark Friedman. Mark limps from the small blind and the big blind checks, the board comes
and they both check,
on the turn, Mark checks, the big blind bets 500 into the 600 pot. Mark makes it 10k. The big blind decides to fold.
According to Dan Owston, he's being doing this a lot and the players on this table have turned into Vladimir and Estragon and are waiting.
Albert Sapiano is OUT, with AA vs KQ.
Chris Bruce has trebled up, hitting a straight flush with
against Dave Clarke. He then eliminated Clarke with 4-4 vs Q-Q on a 9-8-4 board.
Finally, this is Norman Gold. Errr, I'm not sure what else to add.

Chris Bruce is down a large amount of chips fter having
on a
board but running into
for a 32k pot. He's since gone OUT.
Jeff Kimber is OUT. Brian Johnson was on ubertilt apparently and came out betting 3.5k into a 2.5k pot on a T-3-2 two club flop. Jeff made it 10k with
with 17k back and Brian decided to set him all-in with
and caught a club.
Van Hoang just fired three bullets at a
board against Richard Gryko, the latter calling the 2,500 flop and 4,800 turn bets, but sighing and giving up on the 7k river.
Paul 'Muzza' Murrell -- 14k
Jerome Bradpiece, better than Vicky Coren at Sudoku it would seem.

It may be cool and fresh up here in the press room, but down in the cardroom I'm sweating like a monkey's bum on a treadmill. One man who will be hot at the moment is
Jeff
Kimber
, but that's due to his recent encounters with
Brian
Johnson
as opposed to the temperature of the room. Two hands produced the demise of Jaffacake, the first one actually resulting in momentary triumph as his 3,500 River bet on a
board was called by Brian. Jeff showed Pocket Jacks, leaving Brian to muck with a mixed look of disgruntlement and severe frustration.
It's difficult to tell if their previous confrontation played a part in the next hand, but soon after, they were locking horns again, all the chips flying in on a
Flop. Brian bet 3,000, Jeff made it 10k and Brian announced all-in. Jeff called quicker than a cheetah on a bullet train and showed
, confident that it was in front. And he was right to feel good about his hand, as Brian was forced to flip an inferior, but highly dangerous
.
The Turn was a cruel blow for Jeff, however, the dealer flicking out a hand-ending
. An academic
River and it was all done and dusted, the only act left to complete being the counting of stacks. Moments later, Jeff was informed that he was out-chipped, leaving the World Heads Up Champion to rise from his seat, his chest beating short and fast as he tried to compose himself after losing such a vast pot and trundle off down the other end of the cardroom.

Chris Bruce is OUT
The serial satalite qualifier has looked frustrated most of the day and things haven't appeared to go his way. Faced with a limper UTG, Chris in the cut off pushed all in for 4,500. Jean Luc-Belin asked how much, then called quite quickly so the limper passed On their backs:
Chris Bruce
Jean Luc
First card out was a KING to produce a sigh from Chris and a "see you later." Unlucky Chris.

Raj Modha is also OUT.
Mark Gray -- 8,025 (Looking like he ate his ice cream too fast and has a headache)
Dave Callaghan is OUT pushing with
on a
board vs Norman Rad's
.

Michael Muldoon has just won an uberpot...
He held A-A vs Jerome Bradpiece's K-K and a short-stacks Q-J and it held on to put him over 30k.
The Camel is going along nicely raises to 2k preflop and gets one caller in Matt Novak.
Both check the
flop before Novak check/raises Camel's bet of 2,500 to 6,000. Camel quickly calls.
They both check the
river and Novak shows
which is good.

Praz is OUT, as is Vince Madan and
Ian
Cox
just lost a huge pot with Ace Queen against Hoss Parkhizar's Jacks on an A-J-x-x-x board and is now down to just 15k.
---------
Double up for Kevin Jenkins!... although it was called reluctantly
Keith
Hawkins
.
"Do you want a call," asks Keith chuckling.
"Yes!" answers Kevin abruptly.
"I do," adds
Dave
Barnes
.
"Will you say nice hand, shake my hand and so on if I beat you?" asks Keith nervously.
"Of course I will," replies Kevin.
Rather red-faced, Keith makes the call (for what was virtually shrapnel is truth) and shows
.
"I've changed my mind," declares Kevin showing a dominating pair of cowboys.
He needn't have worried though, as the board came
, Keith's call for a split pot on the River failing to emerge.

Rumit
Somaiya
has just doubled up through
Brian
Johnson
, I got there will all Rumit's chippy in the middle on a board like:
Rumit had
and Brian had
. Rumit now up to 43,000 and Brian is only wounded.
---------------------------------------------
Our own Kingpoker, Gareth Ower showed us all that he aint just a luckbox who sucks out on people, he can actually play poker guys and girls. With about 10k (so raise and a call preflop) in the pot and this flop:
Patrick McCloskey bets 6,000. Gareth goes deep into that tank that everyone talks about and I wait, he thinks, he changes colour, he thinks some more, then he passes
face up. "Oooooo" says a couple of table mates and Patrick shook his head ruing Gareth's decision to pass, so he turns over a set of 7's and tells KP "good good pass!" A big satisfying exhale of breath from Gareth who still has 21,000 chips.
------------------------------------
Ian Cox is OUT - apparantly he had KK v AQ with an A on the flop. Unlucky Ian, great run this year though.

Well bokked Claw and Technolog. I'm afraid KingPoker is OUT. Nik Persaud roughly filled in the story for me, he said there was a raise to 2,600, KP made it 8,600 with around 10k back before Van Hoang moved all-in behind him, the initial raiser passed, and Gareth felt he was committed and called with his Ace King only to run into Kings behind him and missed his Ace. Very unfortunate circumstances after a great days play, and Nik added Gareth played well and seemed like a good guy.
Unlucky sir.

Warren
Wooldridge
is OUT.
Set in on a
board by
Brian
Johnson
, Warren called for the last few thousand chips with
only for Brian to show
for the turned set and rivered house.
------------
Word on the poker grapevine is that Ian Grier is OUT. Jacks v Queens.
