Had the 2 Daves staying with me for a couple of days now its been a good laugh having them around.

you def have a different outlook on life when the 2 of them are around.

there flight was delayed 6 hours in the end so the 2 weary travellers just had a quiet night and an early night. We did a little tour of where i live and we went to the Red Rock for dinner. They got to see the poker room and were impressed by the place but both decided it was no Luton

Can you make a movie of Muppet in Vegas, please. Comedy value imo

Got to go to the new house today for the surveyors report. Its amazing how differnet buying a house is compared to how its done in the UK.

Gonna be god to get into our own house and really start to put down some routes. Its gonna cost me a fortune with all the furnishings that are needed to get the house sorted. We knew this would be the case and we have been getting bits and pieces as we go along.

Hopefully we will be in by the end of the month which has upset my landlord in our rental house, but i have been straight and honest with him from the beginning. 5 months is def long enough in a rental.

Petrol prices keep on increasing over here. I know its nowhere near as bad as it is in the uk and im still paying a lot less than what i was when i left the UK but it is amazing how it has gone from $2.85 to $4.05 in the 4 months that i have been here.

I still look at it as cheaper than the UK but i guess i need to think i only buy US gallons now so that is how i need to think.

My mindset has changed at poker and i do think $s i dont make a call of $100 thinking its just 50 quid these days

Dave and Dave have been here for a few days and have been having a good time. It rainned here 2 days ago just a drizzle in the afternoon but they had a good moan about it.

When we dont have visitors we prob eat in 6 nights a week but when we have guests we eat out most nights. Of all the things that Vegas does good food is one of them. Im sure its also a good place for the veggies but its def a great place for meat lovers. So many places do great steaks and at amazing prices.

The 3 of us have been playing both on the strip and at the Red Rock. We went to the RR last night we didnt get in there until about 10pm and we were happy to see 3 full $2/5 games in full swing. It is suprising to see how busy the room is. We had popped into the Mirage earlier for old times sake. The place was worse than dead. We had just come from Ceasers where they were queueing out the door. The mirage had 5 tables open 1 was limit stud and the other 4 were 2/4 3/6 and 4/8 limit holdem. What used to be a great room and at 1 point the most important cardroom in Vegas is now empty. I dont normally even go in there anymore but i thought id take the guys in. What a shame. I have noticed a lot of the Mirage dealers now work in other casinos on the strip.

Yep - it's in vegas, full of Americas and more than a bus ride away from the Arndale centre.....takes a lot to get anything past these boys...
