I'd still go for a 32" for the bedroom. Even if it's a small room, if the TV is on the wall at the end of the bed, a 32" TV isn't too big.

Suggestion, why do the prices vary so much for diff tv's of the same size?

Why do prices of cars vary so much with the same size engines?
Its mainly down to the quality of the screen and the build/sound of the tvs, and of course the styling.

...and a premium for the 'brand' as well.

Very true but brands like B&O, Loewe, Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer are way better overall, imo.
i install this things for a living and some of the cheap ones are truely awfull !!

I'm dead pleased with the new Sony TV I bought yesterday. That particular model doesn't come in less than 40", but this 32" has good reviews....

32" for the bedroom. When I had a tele in my bedroom it was a 14" portable.
with teletext though, so it's all good.
