Just been a short break and I grabbed the opportunity to have a quick chat with Womble.

Me "Grinding away Womble but what a great recovery."

W - "I'm where I always am, grinding away. Me and Mickey Wernick get used to it. Whenever we play together we go out at roughly the same position"

Me "Well lets hope that you go out first and second in this one then"

W - "I remember travelling back from Brighton one night and Mickey said to me 'can you find a better place' and I've remembered that and played to it all the time. I may be short stacked but i don't care what cards or chips the others have got - I'm just interested in what I've got and I'll pick my spots."

Unfortunately as I type this I hear that Womble is no more....

Table Wernick - big hand between Pete Linton and Rana Gurnam from Cardiff.

Flop goes    Pete bets 2075 into a pot of 3500. Rana calls.

Turn  . Rana bets 4k leaving him 9925 behind. Pete calls.

River   . Rana goes all in for his 9925. Pete calls, insta mucks when he sees Rana's   .

Nice pot for Rana.

During all this Lord Wernick is trying to push the action on. As Rana dwells after the turn Lord W is asking "Who's it on?" just to get everything moving - it works - Rana made his move.

Another tip from the Lord.

Nive updates gang. Ding you obv have some sort of admiration complex about Mr.Wernick, dont really get how this is a good "tip" lol.  Kiss
Best of luck to Linton who id have thought is in a different league to the remaining players. Also Mr.Rudd if he is still in, didnt get to read entire thread.

Raj Dhiri out in 12th. On the button raises to 2500 (blinds 600/1200 ante 100)

Small blind (Ben Callinan) reraises by picking up a lump of chips and dumping them over the line. The bb folds and Raj rererises all in with an instacall from Ben. Raj shows   and Ben shows   .

The board comes       and Ben rivers the straight sending Raj home with an apologetic smile.

They will try and play down to 7 tonight to save anyone coming back tomorrow.

Ashraf Waheed is OUT in 11th

Fnding an Ace on the button short stacked, in it goes, only to find Keith Littlewood with QQ in the big blind, and no help arrives for the short stack

"He just keeps getting hand after hand" laments Ashraf

So we are down to 10

I just talked to Raj about his exit hand.

It's passed to him on the button, and he has AA with an 80k stack.

He minraises to 24k and the SB pushes, Raj obviously calls and SB shows A10s.

Board came JxAKQ... pretty sick!

FINAL TABLE

Redraw - seating and chip counts are:

Seat 1  Richard Berridge  30K
Seat 2 Dave Smith 90k
Seat 3 Peter Linton 30k
Seat 4 Mickey Wernick 63k
Seat 5 Paul Jackson  25k
Seat 6 Keith Littlewood 100k
Seat 7 Liu Hongji 15k
Seat 8 Ben Callinan 35k
Seat 9 Pat Kelley 50k

They are on a 5 minute break. If it were me on the final table I would now be going off on my own and having a word with myself and trying to get in the zone.

These guys don't seem to have a care in the world, all having a laugh and chatting among themselves - this is how the big guys obviously approach a final table. remember there is £31,000 at stake here.

I wonder if having a more relaxed approach helps your game. But surely you have to take it seriously. I wonder if underneath it all their hearts are hammering as hard as mine would or are they really as relaxed as they seem?

Ok - I take it all back - the final table has got a serious hat on now - the laughter has stopped and the game is on.

Richard Berridge is on the button and he is facing a raise from Dave Smith in the SB. After a dwell Richard folds and Dave starts his normal chip gathering exercise.  Keith Littlewood starts the interrogation but Dave isn't telling.....

Was just taking photos of the final table and saw the following hand:

Paul Jackson raised to 4k UTG, and Keith Littlewood, who was next to act, called.

The flop came K35, and Jackson bet out 3k (i think!) and found a call.

Turn was a blank and both checked.

River was another 5, Jackson made a beefy bet and Littlewood called only so be shown the rockets!

Pete Linton just OUT in 9th, losing a race with Keith Littlewood who regains the chip lead from Dave Smith

When we lose one more player, we conclude for the night
