I must be the only one thinks this, BUT these are the WORST UPDATES ever. Wheres the chip counts, no flair and its slower than a tractor on the M25 in RUSH HOUR on the M25.
Come on, APPROX CHIP COUNTS WILL DO.
Yep, think you're on your own.
Somehow l don't think l am, but l am telling it how it is. Jen and Adam updating is worth reading, and is interesting and makes u feel as though your there with the way they deliver them. These UPDATES are lifeless and boring. Then u give an excuse when u should be seeking a solution.
These are outraegous comments. Why don't you try having a go at updating?
Keep going Rod and Dana, I for one think the updates are great

[Steve Jelinek is not a contender to take it down, as he's OUT. He was crippled by the A-K v Jen's K-K, and then ran into Roberts Cowen's cheeky Aces to finish him off. Cowen actually took out another player with the same Aces - afraid we don't know who, as he'd only just been moved to that table and no-one could tell us who it was.]
Another victim of the monster that is Grech-del has gone - this time the shortstacked Alan Dean.
Nik Persaud raised utg and Alan Dean flat called. Grech got himself some kidn of read, and re-raised to around 60k - enough to cover Dean. Nik got out of the way pretty sharpish, and Dean proceeded to dwell and squirm. Eventually he declared, "You know what I've got," and called.
Alan Dean -
Joe Grech -
Board -
There was some good-natured handshaking, and Grech the Great marauds on. Would that I felt I had time to photoshop a pirate hat on him or something.

I agree 100% Pelham Boy, I would also love to see Mr McCool even attempt an informative, humorous, clever and FAIR update himself. Alas I fear though that Blonde's great reputation would go down the tubes if this was allowed to happen.
Obviously from doing updates in the past myself, I can appreciate the difficult conditions at times to even get a constant internet connection and the distance that the press are put away from the action at most casino's. So congratulations slickid at your marvelous constructive criticisms at 2 guys who are giving you a great free and interactive service. WD GG WP

By the way the second gent who fell prey to Roberts Cowen's Pocket Rockets (when Mr Jelinek went out) was Colin Linton.
BREAKING NEWS - I think I just overheard one of the dealers on a break in the staff room saying that he saw
Joe
Grech
last night in a gay bar.
Here are our two tables just a little while ago:

Jen,
Steve
Jelinek
and Colin Linton before their respective exits etc:
Messrs Garfield, Deck, Persaud:
Mr Marcus Bebb-Jones:

Mr Julian "Thew's The Boss" Thew [sorry, this is not to imply he's suddenly acquired a chipleading stack, I just couldn't help myself

LOL at Joe in a gay bar ... its Brighton ffs there isnt much else.
Me, Flushy, Irish Denis and Stu Rutter got kicked out of one on our last visit .... despite us protesting that flushy had probably had more man love than the entire population of the club combined !!
we were refused entry because we were "too straight" ... still all wasnt a complete disaster, we mugged Rutter into paying for cabs all night LOL

Just caught up with the updates and they are great as they always are.
I don't think anyone should take notice of that muppett and what he thinks, at the end of the day like others have already said they are FREE updates and very good ones at that.

+1.
I hardly ever post here, but follow all the live update threads when I'm not actually at the events. Blonde still best in the business, bar none. SlickMick's comments well out of order, IMO.

An enormous hand just played out between Jen Mason and Julian Thew...
I joined the action on a flop of
contested three way between Jen, Julian and Roberts Cowen.
Julian had 50k in front of him laid out as a bet and Roberts Cowen considered getting involved before passing.
The action moved round to Jen, who clicked and shuffled her chips in her unique, deliberate thoughtful way as she pondered the ramifications of the different options open to her.....before quietly announcing "ALLIN."
Julian leaned back in his chair and sighed, apparently not too overjoyed at this turn of events...the lack of insta-passing meant he clearly had some sort of big decision to make here though. Could he call off his remaining 140k or so chips? After much face rubbing, smiling at Jen and contemplation he finally made the call, turning over 9-8 for top 2 pair.
Jen tabled T-T for an overpair and open ended straight draw. A huge coin flip then but who would emerge victorious?
The turn was the...As.
The river was the
! This gave Julian a winning full house, an enormous pot and a massively relieved expression. Jen looked shell shocked as she complimented Julian on a nice hand. She lost a lot of chips on this hand but is still left with roughly 100k, which she is well capable of spinning up.
Here is a shot of the aftermath of the hand, so gripping not even the merest glimpse of Dena's cleavage can draw you away from the action I bet...well....

if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all as the updaters are doing a fantastic job and you being negative and, more importantly, COMPLETELY WRONG probably doesn't make their job any easier...
rod and dana you're both doing a fab job (i particularly love the picture of the dog in the specs...class in a glass!) x
