Can I just take this opportunity to invite people to post their favourite poetry etc on here.
The benefits will be twofold.
1: It will please me.
2: It will piss Tony off. (He's a philistine)
I enjoy poetry as much as I enjoy eye-bleed Hand Histories.
Each to their own, though.
Now I have to find a way to read Red's otherwise splendid Diary, but dodge all this poetry stuff.
Poem filter anyone?

Why, when someone wants to tell us that a thought has just entered their head do they always use the phrase, "Springs to mind".
Is "Springs to mind" the only thing that ever springs to mind?
Also. Do thoughts actually enter our heads, or are they already in there waiting to come out?
I never say "Springs to mind."
"It just hit me" is the standard Laxie phrase.
I tried to do a search to see if you had said it, but the searching oojackamapivvy wouldn't work.

although i'm not sure that sticking one on for my annual 'wearing of a dress' is enough to qualify me as 'basque-wearing'

Wordsworth Shmerdsworth.
That's excellent Ralph. Pity Tony can't appreciate such talent.
(By appreciate talent, I mean the poem, not Claire's tits)

Bipolar dog
Great clip, but really quite sad in a way.
Presume the dog just has a tick of some sort and doesn't recognise it as his own leg. Wouldn't fancy nicking his treat any way.
Yes. the saddest thing is the dogs attitude to it's food.
I always put my hands in my puppies food bowl while they're eating. They soon learn to accept it, realise that I'm not going to take any, and never grow up with food guarding "Issues"
I was thinking exactly the same.
If I go near my dog when he's eating he knows it's for me to give him more or to swap for something better, never to take it away.
Seeing any dog do that really isn't a laughing matter especially when one of the kids goes near it's bone.
Rather than putting your hand in the bowl Tom have you ever tried hand feeding?
It's a great way to build a bond with a dog if it knows that every morsel of food it gets comes directly from you.

Hand feeding, yes, and teaching not to take food from the kids or touch someone's plate if they happen to put it on the floor, just didn't want to go into a full blown sermon.

Jaberwocky. Lewis Carroll at his surreal best. Carroll is not really a poet as such, but here he rivals the great Edward Lear.
Random fact: Alice in Wonderland is actually a satire of modern (at the time) mathematics.

I wish you and your cohort would explain some of these outlandish claims.
