I went to buy some peanuts for the birds yesterday and found out they have gone up by 25% since the last time I bought them.
A little research reveals that the price rise was predictable.
Much of Georgia, the biggest peanut-producing state, is experiencing "extreme" drought after months of below-normal rain, according to the University of Nebraska's U.S. Drought Monitor
See! If my weather forecaster had been on the ball instead of vegging out on the sofa with The Lord of the Rings, I could have been investing in peanuts instead of pork-bellies and made a killing.
Also, why didn't someone tell me that peanuts are not nuts at all. They're beans.
They don't even grow on trees like nuts. They grow under the ground like.... well, like beans.

I'm also very disappointed in our Scunthorpe correspondent.
If he doesn't shape up. his first 'and finally' will be his final 'and finally'.

They're also called "ground nuts".
They used to have vendors selling bags of peanuts at all of the football grounds years ago, Percy Dalton's.
Arsenal are at home to the camel's beloved QPR today where hopefully we will do a win whilst simultaneously kicking lumps out of the dastardly Joey Barton in a very cultured manner of course.

I actually saw the full thing strung up in my mates garage the day before, he was butchering it for someone he knows in return for a few choice cuts.
THe lad had also asked for the head back, said he would pick it up first thing in the morning. So my mate leaves it outside bagged up over night for him , can only guess that a fox sniffed it out and took it.

Excuse me, but I was only hired to report on local weather. I know I'm a Yank and our geographical knowledge isn't great, but I'll go out on a limb and say - Georgia ain't local. Had you requested I expand my reports, I MAY have given you the heads up on the peanut thing.
As for pork bellies - they were delisted this past July. If ya didn't dump them back then, yer stuffed now.

Don't worry, you're doing a fantastic job, I was just a bit grumpy this morning.
Nothing wrong with stuffed pork bellies BTW.

I don't have Sky Sports but I will try to listen to the game whilst grinding online Ralph.
What time is kick off? (Getting down with the footy speak now).

3pm. I doubt if it's broadcast live although there's a slim chance.
Up the gunners!

Speaking of Sky TV, who gets to decide which channels get a +1?
Some really popular ones, like Sky 1 don't, but some obscure ones, like Sky Nail Varnishing for the Unabashed do?
