I think both robins will lose to OWWITHC.
Old wiley wait in the hedge cat
That's true.
Cat's kill hundreds of thousands of birds every year.
However... We have GOMLCOITYANAK.
Get off my land cat or I'll tear you a new asshole Kizzy.
We have a GOMLCOITYANAK as well - although her name's Kerry.
She's not much good against the SIAPOAWBOTWS.
Swoop in and pick off a wee bird on the wing Sparrowhawk. Fantastic to see if you're lucky enough to be looking when it swoops in. Wasn't so clever yesterday when it swooped, swerved after a wee bird & smacked into the kitchen window. Thankfully it flew off OK. I missed it - Dad saw it.

Great pic
Whats the reason for the golf ball in the feeder Rod?
Geo
The lid of the feeder broke - so I rigged it up with some wire, but one day we found that a blue tit had gone in through the open top when the nuts were low & got stuck. We got it out & it was fine, but we started putting something in to stop it happening again. My Dad being a galoot he keeps filling the thing up without removing the golf ball - then popping another one on. There's now more golfballs than nuts unless I clean them out (which I do fairly regularly anyway).
Long story for such a daft thing, but there we go.
He's got one of these:
A Fuji finepix bridge camera. 30x zoom - I think there was some zoom envy going on with my new one......
Lovely job tidying the pics Red - I'll need to give that a try.
Brilliant, I thought there'd be a story behind it.

While I was out walking today I saw yet another myxy rabbit.
I always put them out of their misery if I can, and this one was in a real state, head horribly swollen, totally blind with eyes that were just pockets of pus.
Click the link if you want to see what a rabbit with myxomatosis looks like but beware, it's not pretty.

What with being totally blind virtually deaf and in extreme pain, rabbits with myxomatosis are usually easy to catch, it's just a case of sneaking up and grabbing them, but this one became aware of me at the last moment and bolted, running blindly into some brush at the base of a hedge. I cleared the deadwood and found the rabbit, but I also found this....

It's like a pipe with a cap which is padlocked on in a peculiar fashion.
Does anyone have any idea what it is? I'm completely stumped.

Did you find it with a video, a £20 a condom and some co-ordinates?

given the lack of sturdy nature of the cap and padlock/cable, that is surely just to keep debris out?
i mean what could possibly be underground?
Tv camera access point of an underground habitat?

If it was just for debris though, I think it would be a screw on or press-fit top.
I like the TV camera idea. Come to think of it, the pile of deadwood under the hedge did look a bit artificial. (Or am I just imagining that with hindsight?)

Wow! It's a bit Mork & Mindy here this morning to say the least.
When we were on the road we used to pull the lorries up close to the caravans to act as a windbreak. Even so, I've seen quite a few go over.
I remember watching one flip end over end and then catch fire, presumably when the hot coals fell out of the stove.
This tree didn't make it through the night either...

Kizzy looks distinctly unimpressed!
She didn't have to bend double to get under it.
Actually, she was very interested in sniffing branches that, until now, had been 30ft beyond her reach.
Odour de squirrel
I'm guessing...
