Sweeet. My first Lapwing aka the Peewit. tyty. Another one for my list.
Got a couple of Ok-ish ones of it in flight as well.
Just read they are pretty common. Sighs.
My best shots from today were of a slug and a phonebox. Will probs share in camera thread later.

Fairly common but a lot rarer than they were. Used to be a prized egg for eating - that wouldn't help but changes in farming practices have caused the worst damage. Brilliant fliers producing amazing aerobatics when trying to keep crows/gulls etc away from their nests. |

Sci-fantasy series I liked had a start there & I got the old men clue (if I'm right that is). Edit - googling the 'fact' I thought i had showed I was right on location, wrong on the 'fact' - So Jaws wasn't filmed there. |
