Can an electric lawn mower cord be repaired if, say... someone ran over it with the mower?

Yes, but do it properly. (I spect Techno could do it).

I did one once, I cut the wire clean and slid about 6 inches of old hose-pipe on to one half.

Then I joined the individual wires (live neutral earth) back together with solder, insulated them separately and then collectively with tape.

Then I slid the piece of hose-pipe over the join, filled it with bathroom sealant (Silicone) waited for it to dry and Bob's yer Uncle.

Gutted I wasn't around in the 60's.  Best music EVER and glad it's still available well after the fact.

The three signs of ageing.

1: Your eyesight goes.

2: Your memory goes.

3: Your eyesight goes.

You been reading the "Worst jokes ever" book recently Tom ?

As to the glasses question, what do you think we spend most of our time looking for ? I'd say keys.

Try the Staking board.

That slightly concerns me, Tom, & sounds not a little perverted, unless of course you mean "incident".

Wow. Sounds really safe. When I did it with an electric hedge trimmer I just used a screw-in joint block and about a full reel of insulation tape. Living on the edge, me.

When I broke the news that I'd broke the cord, I suggested that.  Turns out Jack's going to replace the entire cord.  Although, he's slightly concerned the colour of the new one won't be as easy to see as this one was.  I saw this one perfectly as I drove over it.  My only clue with the next one will be when the mower stops working.

I suspect that this is a rather naive question, but if the Greek economy goes tits up, why does it matter what currency it's in?

What difference does it make if they go skint in Euros or Drachmas?
