Have you always been so well spoken Tom, eg use big words n stuff ?
If not, what was your desire to improve ?
I'm not particularly well spoken, but I suppose I do have a decent vocabulary.
Why? I dunno really. I read a lot and I love words.

I assumed you went to the effort of learning new words as opposed to just picking them up from books ?
What type of material do you regularly read ?

Started off reading anything I could get my hands on as a kid.
We had no spare money for books and I couldn't join a library, but we used to get all sorts of interesting stuff in the tats. I particularly liked old Reader's Digests and ladies magazines.
As time went on and I started to get a little pocket money. (Half a crown a week) I would buy second hand books down the market. Bookstalls were a big thing back then, every market had one.
Initially I bought the usual kids books, Enid Blyton's Famous Five, & children's classics like Treasure Island, Alice in Wonderland etc.
As I got older I moved on to the popular fiction thrillers. Alistair Maclain, Jack Higgins, Ian Fleming, Wilbur Smith.
Occasionally, I came across a non fiction tale of adventure & heroism, or of survival in the face of adversity.
These true stories, the tales of things that really happened. The biographies and autobiographies, where the author couldn't change the ending to suit his purpose, really made an impression on me, and they spoiled me for fiction for ever more.
The last three books I read were a Holocaust survivors story, a heroin addicts story, and the adventures of a bloke who bought a second hand camper van and drove it around the world.

No ladies yet though. Come on girls. You don't have to give your real age.

I didn't even know who Hunter S Thompson was. I had to google.
It was worth the effort though. Fascinating.

It's a known fact that men get cooler as they get older.
I'm so glad you can't read minds.
