So I'm in Strasbourg until Saturday. My room is hot and noisy, and there are no English channels on the TV.

I do have free Wi Fi, but of course I'm not allowed to play poker here.

I don't understand the bath room. The shower has no door and the water just cascades on to the floor leaving no dry place to put your clothes or to stand.

I have a huge pillow, but it has absolutely no substance. My head sinks into it as if it were blancmange.

I just hope I don't wake up and find it missing.

I love the easy going 'cafe culture' attitude in European cities. Mrs Red & I strolled around the streets of Strasbourg until after 10pm last night and felt perfectly at ease.

Yeh nothing tilts me more than when the tray gets emptied but noone puts anymore litter back in for me.

Mrs Red has bought some deep sided plates, almost bowls but not quite. More like powls or blates actually.

As ever, there are pluses and minuses. They're great for extra gravy, but almost impossible to lick clean.
