Been up to anything interesting lately, or had any new deliveries??

No, but I'll clarify your cryptic post for my other reader.

Remember I bred a litter of puppies from my bitch Poppy last year? Well I had such an avalanche of positive feed back. All the new owners said how well socialised and easy to manage their new puppies were, they already understood the "No" command and were virtually toilet-trained. All this stuff was accompanied by requests from their friends to be put on a waiting list should I ever breed another litter.

Well this year I did breed her again, she had 7 pups (and one stillborn). If anything, I got more positive feedback from these than I did from the first lot. I get emails with progress reports and photographs every week.

It was all so rewarding, OK not so much financially, but in every other way possible. I love everything about it.

So, the upshot is, I decided to become a hobby breeder and I bought two more bitch puppies. They are 14 weeks old now and I'm really enjoying raising them.

are they sisters, or different litters?

what made you choose them eg they had characteristics that appealed? or bloodlines that did?

what is the plan for breeding them? when does it start?

Great pictures, went to Snowdonia last year for the first time. Man it was bleak but beautiful - saw people walking up from the comfort of a train - I liked the train but wish I had the oomph to walk it.

It's cos 100 years ago, us blokes didn't live long enough to have a mid life, let alone a crisis about it. Mostly we died during the birth process or, failing that, in our infancy. If we did manage to get past the baby stage, our childhood was a minefield of epidemics and infections, couple this with the pressure holding down a full time job which usually consisted of swimming in excrement or being forced into a space that was too small or dangerous for a grown man to tackle and it's not surprising that precious few of us ever arrived at adulthood. Those of us that did were conscripted into endless wars, fought pointless duels, took copious amounts of unregulated dugs and were ravaged by sexually transmitted diseases. By the age of 30, all we has left was a painful death.

There is a point to all this btw, I think I'm having my mid-life crisis. (bit late, I hear you say, well I'm almost 60 now so I suppose it's a three-quarter life crisis) but instead of treating it as a problem, I've decided to embrace it and treat it as a privilege.

Sisters.


They had good bloodlines and were DNA tested to be free from the things that these breeds usually suffer from. (Mostly PRA)

Both parents were present and had the characteristics I was looking for.

I had the entire litter to pick from and chose those two on temperament and configuration in that order.

I will mate them in their 2nd or 3rd season depending on how they have matured, so perhaps a year / 18 months.
