So I had my lunch on a bench (Boots meal Deal, three deep-fill chicken and bacon sarnies, a chocolate brownie, and a diet coke, £2.99)

As I ate, I tried to figure out how they justified the expense of building this.

This abandoned car has been there so long they made a feature of it.

You could probably sell that as an early Klimpt or Hockney to the RA for a couple of £M..

I had a quick shufti inside the cathedral while my dinner digested. These stained glass windows are magnificent.

Ralph. You continue to throw me curve balls. You're far too sophisticated for this place.

If you think that's bad, there is a giant spade that cost 10s of thousands near me.

Red, great photos.  It's my good ladies birthday in a few weeks and she has asked for a digital camera from her folks, knowing her parents they will get her a top of the range one that will make my 'thoughtful' gift look pathetic, however it will mean that i can borrow it and take some smashing pictures of some weeds wild flowers that I pass everyday on the way to work.  They are the purple ones that you posted a while back that hang down.  Everytime time I see the vivid purple flowers I think back to a post you made about so many things we ignore having a beauty which we fail to appreciate, I will also take a few snaps of a car that has the worst 'pimp my ride' make over you could think of!!

Right. Back to Sadie's car. A set of cheap pattern front pads from the Asian "How much will you give me for them?" car spares shop, a socket set, and two blood blisters later..

Voila! Sadie's car is as good as new.

Cost to me, £32 for parts + £6.99 for food = £38.99.

Money recouped from Sadie = £15 and a kiss.

Ah well, I've had worse deals.

In all fairness, she shouldn't be responsible for your food bill and her appreciation should deffo cover the rest.

How's the nose?  They manage to connect everything as well as you did with Sadie's car?

I can't breathe through it yet and it looks like a pump handle.

Yes. From the top right the way down to the clock.
