On the other hand, the cash games have been excellent. Both Ralph and I have made good inroads into offsetting our expenses, and we have enjoyed doing it.
When I say we have enjoyed doing it, I don't mean....

Amid all the hustle and bustle of the strip, and especially slap bang in front of the Venetian, how in the world did these two manage to find a moment alone to share a kiss?
They didn't, you were stood gawping and photpgraphing them.
You obviously didnt get the sarcasm when they said 'take a picture it will last longer'
I told her it would be lucky if she kissed a Gypsy on her wedding day. It was. (For Me)

Looky here -
http://www.pokertournamentformula.com/las_vegas_poker_tournaments.htm
The value you probably want is Patience Factor - the higher it is the slower the structure.
But that noon tourney at The Venetian has the highest Patience Factor/Skill Level of all the LV daily tourneys.
After seven hours (coincidentally the next tourney is at 7pm.) the blinds and especially the running antes go ballistic.
Another thing is that they have a ten minute break after every three thirty minute levels, but even after seven+ hours there is no longer break for dinner before the final which might have been more player-friendly.
A cynic might be tempted to think that they were trying to get it over as fast as possible and concentrate on the next one.

if you get a spare minute Tom, I'd be very grateful if you could cast your expert eye over my submission in the 'rate my fry up' thread....

And If Dick asks, this is my mate Ralph.

Is she smiling with gratitude cos you've kindly informed her that she's got the front of her dress stuffed down her tights?
Now that is a class riposte. You are clearly your Dad's daughter, if you get my drift.
She certainly is...

Tom, try the 2pm at the Wynn,$100 + 1 re-buy,4000 + 4000. I've just finished 3rd for $1600. 41 runners,40 re-buys,so a decent prize pool and plenty of chips in play. A decent standard as well,no idiots that think A6 is the nuts. I had planned to play the 12pm at The Venetian but overslept.Glad i did,The Wynn is a much better tournament.

Balls up alert!
$1/2 cash. I limp from mid pos with
, 4 callers. Flop comes
. I bet for $15, and one bloke calls.
Turn is
. I bet $25, he calls.
River is the
I bet $60 and he pushes a stack of chips forward, the dealer says "Call". I open my hand, but as I do, The bloke says That's a raise, pointing at the stack that he just pushed in.
The dealer counts the stack and finds out that it's $10 short of a min raise, so he tells the bloke to add $10.
"I don't want to raise now" the bloke says. "But you have to" says the dealer. The floor is called and he is forced to make the min raise.
I now re-raise it, $100 more. he has chips behind but just smooth calls the $100 and shows
for the flush.
WTF
