Geo. Do you have any idea of your aveage speed while cycling, or, (same thing) how far you travel in an hour?
BTW- I don't mean flat out flogging yourself, I mean your normal riding speed.
4 miles 15 mins in - 20 back (mostly uphill home) think thats 16mph in but am shit at maths. Because I'm more trying to build up the legs and not so much the heart and lungs I maintain as stiff a gear as poss on a heavy bike. We have a cracking shop near the work with all the latest fancy, feather light cycles and I spend ages in there drooling at some of them. Start at £500 and go up to £4k.............£4k, for a bicycle, oh my. Geo

You can get some great bike bargains off EBay, and Halfords carry a nice range that will be in the sales after Chrimbo. I like riding off road, so I wouldn't buy a pure racer, but one of those "hybrid" efforts might tempt me. This is an interesting site. http://www.cyclechat.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=8

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – A homemade balloon aircraft landed in a Colorado field after a 6-year-old boy was seen climbing in. Rescue crews surrounded the balloon. The child's fate was unclear. The balloon traveled for more than two hours.
Cathy Davis of the Larimer County Sheriff's Department told reporters the balloon was owned by the boy's parents and tethered behind the family's home. She said two sons were playing outside when the older boy saw the younger one go into a compartment at the bottom of the balloon and fly away.
The balloon was airborne for more than two hours.

I don't see how - when it landed there didn't seem to be any hole in the balloon for him to have fallen out of.

Watching the news now they've said that it appears he climbed into a box hanging from the balloon which had already fallen off by the time the TV cameras got there.

Nope - they're still looking for him. Given they've not found him yet you have to assume he travelled quite a bit. Given that, you have to assume he was quite a way up when he fell out/the box fell. Not looking good.

what a huge relief that must have been for his parents. nice to have a happy ending to a story like this - it was looking grim.

Strangely enough here's the kids doing a Beastie Boys thing on YouTube (Balloon boy is the youngest). The family were on Wife Swap and were a bit 'kooky' (Dad is very much into his UFOs).

Looks like the whole thing was a fake. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8310121.stmMr Heene was asked by an interviewer to ask his son why he had not emerged from his hiding place when he heard his parents calling out his name.
Speaking hesitantly at first, Falcon answered: "You had said that we did this for a show."
Pressed on what his son might have meant, Mr Heene struggled for an answer, saying that his son must have been confused by the family's previous appearance on Wife Swap.
