I'm off to DTD to give the new Super 50 comp a bash.

Perhaps it's just as well that I'm going out, Mrs Red is bubbling away like a little volcano this morning, and I don't want to be there if she blows.

She's a sweetheart really, but I shouldn't wind her up when she has cabin fever.

Don't make her angry....

She needs a home help Tom. To keep the place clean & tidy, & wash the pots, you know?

Dont put him in Hossy ... who do you think will be visiting him and bringing him extra food etc etc ... YES YOU !!  ... Far better to just buy lots of stuffed moles and place them everywhere, that will tilt his life to the point of madness Cheesy

Not too bad here, roads are clear, been into town this morning, not many shoppers about though which is always a bonus.

Kate assures me that this "Magic" scarf can be worn as a dress...

So I asked these young ladies if one if them would model it for me...

This poem, penned by my 7 year old granddaughter, was submitted by her school to be considered for publication in “Poetry explorers 2009” There were 65000 entries nationwide.

She received an envelope today. It contained a letter requesting permission to publish and an acknowledgement of copyright.

Peace

Peace is baby pink. See it’s nice colour, it’s lovely.

Peace is the smell of a bunch of flowers like roses.

And everything like that

Peace is quiet and lovely.

Peace, you can’t hear anything, not a tiny noise in your ear.

Peace is the taste of wedding cake and nice biscuits.

I love the free spirit and open-mindedness of the youth.  I sincerely hope education doesn't stifle her beautiful mind.  That is better than 90% of the students I teach!

Education isn't all about what you learn at school.

This is just a random snap. She probably won't even remember it, but it's moments like these that will seep into her subconcious, each one drawing the threads that bind her to this way of life a fraction tighter.

I agree!  I am very well educated but dont value it as much as what life has taught me.  This picture reminds me of my childhood.  My horse was in a field backing onto my garden.  Me, my cat and my horse would spend hours in the field and they would stay with me while I wrote poetry Smiley  They taught me more about life than any human relationships I have had.

I miss them both so much!
