I thought I'd gone red jelly.
Trying to work out the rhyming slang there & really hope (for your sake) it's not rhyming with Muzelly, but I can't for the life of me think what else you are saying. Ok, I give up. Am also stumped having tried to work this out and I've also searched all over the web. Please put me out my misery Mr Mc. Geo

Glad I saw War Horse prior too . . . . http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1568911/I hadn't read the book before seeing the performance, so had no idea what to expect. I just don't have the words to convey how good the puppetry/acting (whatever the correct term) is of the horses. Theatre stages/props/actors thrill and dumbfound me in equal measure, War Horse is right at the top of that list.

Not too sure which diary thread to put this in, but the other one seems to be about poker lol. I have just cleared out my shed and found loads of horse brasses and martingales that my great aunt had on her horses when they pulled her working boats. 1) are they worth anything 2) should I clean them if selling 3) the martingales are well over 50 years old and the leather is full of White stuff ( is this dangerous), friend said could well contain anthrax?? Is this true?
Cheers

Yes they will sell, but not for a fortune. Perhaps £40 - £80 ish. I wouldn't clean them because people like to do it themselves and besides, the muck makes then look old and prevents you from looking like a dealer (Antiques, not poker). The white stuff on the leather is leather mould. It wont give you anthrax. You can buy stuff to kill it or google for old recipes - Lemon & vinegar etc.

Trying to work out the rhyming slang there & really hope (for your sake) it's not rhyming with Muzelly, but I can't for the life of me think what else you are saying. The mother of a good family friend suffered from dementia. She would appear to be perfectly fine, and then suddenly run down the road screaming that the red jelly was after her. Almost without us realising it, "Red Jelly" became a euphemism for madness.
