I've just been watching a programme about cowboy boots.

It said that the pointy toes were originally functunal, but now are only for fashion.

What function does a pointy toe serve?

Rio. That's a common lizard (I think)

http://www.herpetofauna.co.uk/common_lizard.htm

But not many peeps seen one of those, let alone photographed one.

I did think lizard initially... I gave it a prod to try and get to move of off the putting green before the man with mower turned up, it was cold and soft, not at all scaly, and it played dead (I actually thought it was dead). I went back to my car to put my phone (camera) back in it and when I returned it was on the other side of the green.

I'm pretty sure it was one of these -

A man walks into a bar with a small lizard on his shoulder.
He says to the bartender, "A double whiskey for me, and a rum and coke for Tiny here."
"Why do you call him Tiny?" the bartender asks as he gets the drinks.
The man replies, "Because he's my newt."
